That drama came from what period?
Frankly, I don't know. My Father speaks about it, so I am assuming in the mid 70's. It's about a very stingy man.
btw, can you translate what you wrote about in tamil?
thanks |

Maria is a devout catholic (no condoms for her).
She got married and had 17 kids and then her husband dies.
She remarries three years later and had 22 kids by her second husband. She dies.
At her funeral the priest looks tenderly at Maria as she lies in her coffin.
The Priest looks up to heaven and says 'at last they are finally together'
A man next to him asks 'excuse, you mean her 1st husband and her or 2nd husband and her?'
'NO' the priest says'
I mean her 'LEGS' |

Lula,
I am J.
Ruwani Nangi,
Yeah sure. It means, 'she will repeat that word, she is not going to leave you alone.' In Tamil it sounds hilarious. Edited By - Bonggo - 20 Jul 2006 15:24:28 GMT |

Kamani nangi,
Geeee thank you very much. I am feel flattered :) Well, apart from these three I can smatter a few in Malay, Hindi, Arabic & Malayalam. Learnt to read Arabic when I was small and my mother taught me to read Tamil.
Let me assure you this is not unique. Talking about Malayalam, it is easy to learn because it has a lot of words that are similar to Tamil and Sinhala. Malayalam alphabet too resembles the Sinhala alphabet a lot than Tamil. Edited By - Bonggo - 20 Jul 2006 16:22:29 GMT |

Machan Bonggo,
Ah ha, now I can speak to you in 6 languages, lets meet one day at the Mustapha hotel in Sharangoon.
BTW, if you take a Sinhala Dictionary and read the words to an educated Malayali(Kerela), he will give you the exact meaning of at least 60% of them, but if you speak to him in Sinhala colloquial, he will not understand a word.
