Petiyo,
Thanks for the compliments, actually I am naughty. In front of Guru I pretend to be nice.
Guru,
Thanks a lot for the brief introduction. As you know I am neither thora nor royal but admire both institutions for their great traditions. However, I revel at the thought of Thomians beating Royal. |

Hi fellow ashramistes and Players of the team,
first of all, sincere apologies for not showing up for some time as necessitated by a temporary malfunctioning in the health department.
But I am beyond happy to see that the evil spirits have been cleansed out and the ashram is doing great under the holy patronage of Guru and pradana shisya.
And equally happy to see that hon. Kula and Kamani have stepped forward and looked after the team. I owe you one. :-)and since I'll be a bit busy in the coming few days, while I try to catch up with the work I've missed, I hope you hon. both will continue the good work and continue to look after the team. I shall lend you my fullest support, of course:-) .
Bonggo-ji,
Thanks for the mantram and the song. I feel truly and humbly blessed ............ :-)
I do not understand the song (and that's due to my own ignorance ) , but it's the thought that counts..... :-)
Guru-ji,
Looks like the telepathy worked.... :-) and darn, I thought all that coughing happened because of a medical condition :-)
I see have a lot to learn from your holiness.
And Prince,
Thanks for the support. I shall ensure that no one EVER challenge your position in the team :-))
Petiyo,
lovely to see you around....:-) Edited By - shanika - 13 Jul 2006 12:21:24 GMT |

Captain Cool,
Our Wanita Chief, we missed you so much and we were worried. Glad you showed up and wish you a speedy recovery.
Sorry, I could not put a translation. Here is a rough meaning of the song:

(Of the seasons she is the summer)
Kalaihaliley aval oviyam
(Of the arts she is the beautiful painting)
Maathangalil aval maarghadi
(Of the months she is March)
Malarhaliley aval malllihai
(Of the flowers she is the jasmine)
Kaalangalil aval vasantham
Paravaihalil aval manipura
(Of the birds she is the white pigeon)
Paadalhalil aval thalaatu
(Of the songs she is the lullaby)
Kanihaliley aval maankani//
(Of the fruits she is the sweet mango)
Kaatriniley aval sennnntral
(Of the winds she is the cool breeze)

Dear all,
I got the following this morning from a friend who is also a 'MumBaiker' .
I am not posting it here to start a political discussion of ANY SORT.
I just wanted to share something which I see as a celebration or the triumph of the common man. Hope it is taken in the right spirit.:-)
Letter from MUMBAIKERS
Dear Perpetrators of violence ,
Even if you are not reading this we don't care. Time and again you
tried to disturb us and disrupt our life - killing innocent civilians and by trying to cause panic and fear and create communal disharmony
but every time you were disgustingly unsuccessful.
Do you know how we pass our life in Mumbai? How much it takes for us to earn that single rupee?
If you wanted to give us a shock then we are sorry to say that you failed miserably in your ulterior motives. Better look elsewhere, not here.
We are not Hindus and Muslims or Gujaratis or Marathis or Punjabis or
Bengaliies nor do we distinguish ourselves as owners or workers, govt.
employees or private employees. WE ARE MUMBAIKERS (Bombay-ites, if you
like). We will not allow you to disrupt our life like this. On the last
few occasions when you struck (including the 7 deadly blasts in a
single day killing over 250 people and injuring 500+ in 1993), we went to work next day in full strength. This time we cleared everything within a few hours and were back to normal - the vendors placing their next order, businessmen finalizing the next deals and the office workers rushing to catch the next train. (Yes the same train you targeted)
Fathom this: Within 3 hours of the blasts, long queues of blood
Donating volunteers were seen outside various hospitals, where most of the injured were admitted. By 12 midnight, the hospital had to issue a notification that blood banks were full and they didn't require any more blood. The next day, attendance at schools and office was close to 100%, trains & buses were packed to the brim, and the crowds were back.
The city has simply dusted itself off and moved one - perhaps with
Greater vigour.
We are Mumbaikers and we live like brothers in times like this. So, do
Not dare to threaten us with your crackers.
The spirit of Mumbai is very strong and can not be harmed.
With Love,
From the people of Mumbai (Bombay) |

I have a sad news for you. Our beloved Chela and netball captain Naleen Got himself Zidaned and was shown the red card by Mr. Brown.
he appeared thereafter as Naleen and we have not heard from him ever since.
Sad. |

Bonggo,
Yes, I heard the news. I, too am saddned by what happened :-(
I suggest we keep him as a honorary memeber in the netball team and let's hope a similar fate does not befall none of our other honourable members.
so I guess the pinkie mini days too are gone ?? |
