This post is for the backup given by uncle Patrick, Ajan and TC for song 'Sound of Silence' in another thread. I've been a fan of Simon and Garfunkel since 80's .
To get the real enjoyment, I encourage all of you guys to listen to these wonderful songs. You may be not into this kind of music but still good for lazy Sunday listening. I don't think these old albums cost more than Rs.150 at MC. Come on . . .
To tempt you I'll post 2 more lyrics.
you could listen to music(only) in this site

Simon & Garfunkel - EL CONDOR PASA
-----------------------------------
I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world its saddest sound
Its saddest sound
I'd rather be a forest than a street
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
Simon and Garfunkel - SCARBOROUGH FAIR
-----------------------------------------
Are you goin' to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine
Tell her to make me a cambric shirt, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Without no seams nor needlework, then she'll be a true love of mine
Tell her to find me an acre of land, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Between the salt water and the sea strand, then she'll be a true love of mine
Tell her to reap it in a sickle of leather, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
And to gather it all in a bunch of heather, then she'll be a true love of mine
Are you goin' to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine Edited By - radaw - 24 Jun 2006 09:05:33 GMT |

Well Bongoooo.....
Noy Nodiyum Ellaamal Walarga
Got some hemorrhoid problem and had to give some cool peace of mind to these 'roids'. Ashram has been growing leaps and bounds and passed the 1000th. mark with great competition; admirably in unison. This is the way to go man. Keeping apart ones political mindset we can make it happen. We shall now converge our Ashram to cater the political needs of the common folks for peace and prosperity. A well debated, thoughtful constitution making is utmost necessary through this thread to prevail upon the peace.
As you are I am also an expat in the Gulf and hence Sat and Sun are the dreadful days and I wait for Wednesday to calm my nerves; the cause for my 'roids'.
Will be back.
Regards and Salaams to all

Mimsie,
Nice to see you back. Get well soon and no piling up work. Thanks for the lovely song, it is one of my favourites. I have a variation:
Mee amba vanaye, meeyek marila
Kohomada walalanney?
Kamani,
No dear, Sri Lanka is well on course to victory at 202/2 at the moment. Jaya W. Dene just completed a century. Jayawewa!
It is also a good sign that Sri Lanka can win without Mur Ali. However, in the test scene it will be very difficult to replace him. A man of his calibre appears only once in a century.
Radaw,
Thanks for the encouragement but I of course have reached saturation point and even if I try it will not seep in.
Meanwhile, keep on cheering: era okata era. Edited By - Bonggo - 24 Jun 2006 17:07:07 GMT |

Ok then,
Sri Lanka won the match by eight wickets with 45 balls to spare.
Well done boys, keep it up and dont lose focus. Thanks for bringing glory to our country.
My only concern is that not a single player from these two schools are in the team |

Jayawewa, Jayen jaya Jayawardene wewa !!!
Well played Boys. You did manage to bring a smile back to the lankans during this testing times. May you be able to winn the next 2 as well. Fantastic innings by the captain & well supported by Sanga. J'suriya ws in such touch that he could have taken another century without much effort if only he had played with a little more sense. I wonder why he wanted that run in the first place. Thank god we won but would have been a different story had we lost.
Football too is pickingup speed & the 2nd round has started this is where the men are separated from the boys. Brazil I think has the easiest of games & should get through without much fuss. England are having some problems with injury (which reminds me who is our physio)
& to me will not progress beyond the last 8. To me the dark horse is Portugal. They have a fantastic team with figo, Christian Ronaldo & others. I've seen him play the premier league and he is deadly. I've noticed he teams up with Rooney very well. Sad he doesnt play for England as i think the Rooney - Ronaldo team would be deadly & something the English coach can do with especially with Michael owen injured. If I'm correct France has also progressed through to the last 16 & hopefully Zidane & Henry can produce the magic they do when playing for REal Madrid. I'm not a betting man but Brazil looks favourites but in events such a sthese anything can happen. I have a feeling Portugal might just go all the way ( at least for 3rd place playoffs). |
