So yes Danapala has one part and Kula had the second part.
let me tell you what i know about UTHR(J). this has nothing to do with the teachers in the jaffna uni and they released a press statement maybe a yr ago regarding this.
most likely UTHR had govt backing because they put out alleged crimes by LTTE using the J (jaffna) in their name to justify their claim. CBK has quoted this entity on a few occasions.
Now according to SSK's artcile Rajani and UTHR have had links with JVP which was hidden for a long time. Here is the article.

so tell me folks who bumped off Denzil Kobekaduwa in the late 80s or early90's. wasnt he an upand coming (nagala enna) star! |

Tamilcanuck,
Despite SSK's claims that Premadasa and Dayapala's JVP links being responsible for the murder of Rajini, I must say that the impression I got from Rajini's close family was that the LTTE was responsible for her murder.
Despite all her good intentions Rajini was increasingly becoming a problem for the LTTE. The publication of 'Broken Palmyrah' was badly timed and was obviously aimed at damaging the LTTE. I didn't think Rajini was aware of the lengths the LTTE was going to to silence its opponents at the time, especially someone who was close to it at one time.
As I have said many times before I am not a blanket supporter of the LTTE. Some of their actions are apalling, like the murders of Rajini and other non violent Tamil political leaders of the past.On the other hand divisions among the Tamil people was causing enormous difficulties to their cause and, taken in context, some of these drastic actions were justifiable.
I hope and pray that in the end it will all be worthwhile. Edited By - piranha - 13 Mar 2006 16:25:19 GMT |

Piranha , i have the same view hoole is excellent appointment if he hadnt involved in politics.
and i do agree his appointment will do more harm than good to tamil students at uni.
i still oppose any killings , specailly those acadamics, jurnalist and so on. whatever thir view is they should be left alone. in the begining LTTe was wrong to silent many , instead the media should roast them for their views.
that way those could be silent.
LTTE now follow different path. they leave them alone as mush as possible.
let me remind you one of tigers song
Thanga tamilum tamil eelam manum engal iru vilikal
nangal viduthalai pulikal.
enkal thamil eela manai tamilai ethirpavan thalai edupom. |

Tamilcanuck,
SSK's speculation is stupid claiming GOSL killed Rajini , since at that time IPKF was in Jaffna and also Dayapala and Rajini was already separated because he was against LTTE and Tamil Nationalism.
Did you read the letter written by a Tamil Doctor, then a medical student of Jaffna University I posted?
How come you do not understand that killing of Tamil Intellectuals BY LTTE who are against LTTE need to be stopped.
You are afraid to condemn LTTE atrocities in this forum because, you are working for LTTE and they know your identity. That is the very reason I said you are acting like a self castrated Eunuch |

magha,
you and your wild imaginations. I did touch briefly about this. so anyone who talks about the LTTE is a immediately branded as working for the LTTE.
for you condemning ac act is probably like changing shirts. Youre on record saying you think the politicians are crooks. so you just condemn. I support the LTTE and if Rajani's death saved 2 or more persons then i cant condemn it. LIVES at stake magha. maybe she is an interlectual and the woman next door and her family dont know what comes after the letter A but a life is a life. the reason i quoted Piranha is to show there is a Context when you look at events. one has to look at the big picture. when you seperate the context every murder/assassination by the LTTE must be TOtally Condemned.
you dont even know what HSZ stands for. I saw a post yesterday when you asked someone for clarifications. With this kind of background at your disposal I might as well be VP's double. sky is the limit! |

Magha,
Naturally I am on the side of Tamilcanuck on this. Murder is murder whoever commits it and it should be condemned unreservedly. When a liberation movement is fighting for a cause of a people, dissent among its people will help it fail to achieve its aims. When there are people willing to give up their own lives for a cause, they do feel that these dissenters are working against them. To them these dissenters are considered traitors and are thus eliminated for the sake of the greater cause. These dissenters and traitors had the potential to cause many deaths of the Tamils if they hadn't been eliminated. In that context some of these murders were necessary and justifiable.
You only seem to shed tears for those Tamils killed by the LTTE, who had the power and influence to work against the LTTE.What about the thousands of innocent Tamils who disappeared, never to return, and those who were killed by the military and buried in mass graves? And indeed what about the tens of thousands of innocent Sinhalese who were slaughtered all over the country during the two JVP insurrections?
Taking someones life is not something I approve of, but then I have never been in the shoes of the LTTE fighters to whom to kill or not to kill was probably a matter of life or death for themselves and the cause they were and are fighting for.
On the other hand I have no qualms about justifying the elimination of people like Douglas Devananda of the EPDP and Siddharthan of PLOTE and Karuna. These three are truly abominable characters who should be in the JHU or six feet under. Edited By - piranha - 14 Mar 2006 00:40:36 GMT |
