Children of Prabhakaran study abroad

LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran`s son is studying in London and his daughter is being educated in Northern Ireland. In addition, S. P. Thamilchelvam`s daughter is now in Norway according to Tamil sources here.
A former LTTE member living in London indicated that while UNICEF confirmed that the Tigers are holding 1,358 child soldiers, children of the LTTE hierarchy are studying abroad.
These sources said the children of the LTTE Police Chief, Nadesan, are living in Streatham in South West London with Anton Balasingham and his wife taking care of them.
It is also reported that the former leader of EROS, Balakumar who joined the LTTE later, also sent his son to Sydney, Australia for studies.
`The children of neither the high officials in the LTTE or for that matter the Sri Lankan government join the armed forces and go to war,` the former LTTE member told this correspondent. `They enjoy living in Western countries while poor people`s children from both sides get killed on the battlefield.`
He charged that one reason why the LTTE agreed to the February 2002 Cease-Fire Agreement was their anxiety to find ways of sending their children to Western countries.
According to UNICEF figures, the LTTE has recruited 5,368 child soldiers since the CFA but have released some of them due to international pressure while others have since escaped.

There is absolutely nothing wrong who ever studies in the west so long as they wish to and have the necessary finanace to support. It also implies they are in such a situation whereas the ordinary tamil civilains are left in the lurch to face with all the obstacles. This is something that the tiger sympathisers would not realise in many years.
But the truth is VP does not love the tamils as one would imagine, he's playing to the ordinary poor tamils mind of some matyr. He is a dictator who knows how to tackle in the eyes of darkness of his croonies. So long as the croonies are blind to see what's happening the dictator rides alone with calm and ease with more speculations to be had. This is the truth and nothing but the truth. |

and in the meantime...poor idiots sending money for the cause letting kids of poor tamils/sinhala get blown up

The reality is VP is not interested sending his son / daughter to study in the west it is completely from people like Anton and internal circle as well as international wants them to be educated , it was not possible in North or East for specially VP , is sampling letting them do it.All the Tamils cannot expect to get educated in the west but they had a good infrastructure in North for the best education.
I did not expect you or your sinhala NOT chauvinists going appreciate. |

What is good for the goose should be good for the gander.
If Tamil children are conscripted and forced to fight in the front lines, so should the children of the LTTE terrorist leaders.
Leaders wanting the best overseas education for their children is nothing new. Just look back at some leaders of the country who ran around saying what a good education they were providing the citizens of Lanka, but wanted their children to be educated overseas. (They even used 'security reasons' for convenience - I suppose the terrorist leaders will have the same concerns). |

This is the case with all so called 'revolutionaries' and Patriots. All these crooks weather LTTE or JVP or SLFP - will never send their kids to go and fight. They use 'other' peoples kids as cannon fodder for their selfish out dated policies.
In addition to Praba and Thamilchelvams kids, To give some more examples of hypocracy and double standards...
1. MR who talked about fighting the LTTE, will never send his sons to fight.
2. MR brother and current defense secratary - left the armed forces the moment he got the opportunity to leave the forces after the manditory period of service.
3. Have any of these JVP HOOTERS on this forum asked themselves, HOw many hard-core JVPers have their kids in the armed forces???
4. Have any of the LTTE supporters asked themselves How Many of the Hard-core TNA MPs have their children inthe fighing formations of the LTTE???
5. Vasudeva Nanayakkara (the great campaigner against the West) sent his sons to be educated in the US. He ownes a BMW.
6. Thilak Karunarathene - the UNP organizer for Bandaragama and the great Nationalist, sent his children to be educated in the US, while demanding a military solution to the Ethnic problem....
7. Has any of these LTTE supporters on this forumn asked themselves where Prabakaran and thamilchelvam got the money to educated their children in the West? Its blood money of the thousands of tamils
they sacrificed, for their piped dreams.
8. Have any of the JVP HOOTERs on this forumn, asked themselves, where Wimal WeeraMONKEY got the money to buy Rs 150,000 cell phones? Shirts worth thousands of Rs??? Hair cuts worth thousands of Rs??
Its all blood money of poor sinhala youth they mislead to ahecive their sadistic dreams of turning SL into a socilistic dictator ship.

I have nothing against people sending their children to study in the west after all the legendary Karl Marx studied most of his leaned stuff in the UK (having come down from the E. Germany) so there you go there is nothing wrong someone studying in the west. People like Dr N M did his PhDs in the UK. So I am not against people studying or doing research in the UK or west.
But I would like to ask where do they get the money to study in the west? Is it some kind of scholarship they are getting or public funding? If its public funding who funds them? Isn't it your own bretheren paying him for his luxuries?
I was born in the UK and studied in the UK and am serving the UK and may serve SL one day if it comes my way. So I have my independence not that I am depending on poor people's blood money.
I know lot of your bretheren pays a nominal fee for your VP anna, and is it fair he uses that for his own benefit?

Why would you ask that question because you guys wanted to run by a leech called VP who is doing his business as usual whereas you guys do the donkey work without understanding the consequences. Why would not you open your eyes and see what is going around the world?
Do you know how many people have to contribute your leader for his luxuries? Are you not bothered? Are you not bothered about your children, bretheren? How long you guys going to be enslaved in this dicatatorship?
Do you think by leaving you guys along would bring the liberation that you think? It has nothing to do with that. In fact all you guys have been terribly mislead by a dictator which you find unable to believe because all other tamil leaders have been laid to rest by your dictator. |
