Karthika,

You are the parallel in this forum of child prostitues and soldiers. I suggest that you first grow up and then come back to have an adult discussion in politics.

JVP dont want this peace process to go any further , and they will be happy if the war start sooner.
Mahindas ideal option was Prof GL and it was the right choice ,
GL the one knows Constitution clearly and travelled and studied different models and easyly undestand the differences. rights and wrongs.
JVP dont want to send him it is because they fear that GL as a constitutional expert and have influence in the singhala tamils population as well as a respectable person by all party. he can insist and may suggest a workable solution. and an extra point is that he was the head of negotiation and they can start talk where they left it.

what JVP want is this appoint someone who dont know anything about cricket as captain and they as a supporter hoping they will woo from out side and and make him to act as what they say. what singhalese dont realise is that they going to looser. and going to be a joker in front of international eyes.

Waruna,

Mahinda should have appointed able lawyers like S L goonasekara and H L De Silva.

To do what? Come on, these are two poorest negotiators one can think of. They achieved nothing at Thimupu. They came empty handed and the problem persisted.

People who should go for peace talks should be able to understand the other side and empathise with them. By sending blood thirsty racists like SL, Motta Raala will never achieve his objectives.

SL is a clown who literally cried (in front of media) when he was chased off from JHU. Sob.Sob.Sob. Motta Raala might have been afraid he would cry in Asian city Geneva too...

I agree with Jokkiya how on earth these people get promoted to handle such crucial talks. I can remember of a minister mis-behaving with a mistress whem his wife walks in to his chambers associated with Mr. Silva. Anyway in an administration like US if Mr. Bush can govern, Mr. Silva should be able to do better. It is pity how the media portray fools and corrupt politician to be noble, while the learned and patriotic people are humbled for their humanly qualities.

Karthiaka, your information is not really correct. Janaka Perera is no soldier compared to other brave men we had. He shot up to fame from nothing due to media circus. If you say that he was the last Sandhurst Trained officer Sri Lanka had, that is correct. Yes, he is born to rich parents of S&J fame. However, he was an engieneering officer of the SLA where cadets without proper combat skills went. Yes he became the CO of 1 Plant engineers, cos he did not have combat acuman during his cadet years. Do not brand him in the style of Kobbekaduwe and other able military officers. Politics is the role he played, but we do not know his loyalities. Ask from the officers who led the mission to capture JVP leader Wijeweera. If he was an able officer we would not have had this Tiger menace at this time.

Rohitha Bogollagama and Nimal Siripala have so many things in common. For instance both are lawyers who have got caught to their wives in compromising positions! The Tigers have only Adele as a woman at the talks so more than the talks Anton B will have to be a constantly monitoring our two ministers!!

Karthika,

What is your investment in Sri Lanka as opposed to Sinhalese?

At the moment you and I are seeing different pictures in our minds reading the same words.

Hence please genuinely tell me whether you are a Sinhalese first or Sri Lankan first. I am a Tamil Sri Lankan and not a Sri Lankan Tamil.

If you want to stick to your war history - then you are on your own. I am talking abour who the Tigers are NOW.

love
