We have drawn the first blood..............
Have you guys opened the bottles ????????????
I am excited with young Kapugedara's performance.
I would not want to compare but could remember Inzamam Ul Hak performed under Imran Khan at the world cup in Australia.
He too was a raw batsman then............
Hope we can wrap up the series at Sydney on Sunday.
Goodlife/Bonngo : Sounds excited & thrilled. Yeah, why not?

TC,
Yes...then you guys would jump to our school and get all the girls excited. I still remember how we used to wait without going to the canteen during the big match days to keep the money to give the thomians when they come. Edited By - Ruwani - 10 Feb 2006 15:16:24 GMT |

Samanj, vimukthi and the others,
i guess Vimukthi called in sick today eh! I switched off as soon as sanath went. I was in bed before he reached the dressing room! no worries they will show it again tonight so i'll catch the whole game.
some observations. lets not get carried away.
good clean line up. thats what i like. there was a comparions of the top 7 between the teams. top 4 match up evenly. the bottom 3 Aussies have an edge. is kapagedara lanka's answer to Hussey. the little i have seen of him i'm impressed.
last 90 odd runs in 10 overs, 50 runs in 5. this is what Kapu, dilshan & arnold did. the top order need to score a bit more runs to give these guys some room. cant expect this everytime. little more acceleration in the 15-35 range shouldnt hurt. they laid a trap for sanath and he got caught.
we were lucky that the aussies forgot to run. can we expect a repeat, probably not. remember they were 8 down for 170. they stillscored 80 runs with the lkast2 wickets.
270 is the minimum. another 20 odd runs wouldnt hurt. lets not live on the edge.
the bottle is still intact. will crack it open on saturday.
if aint broke dont fix it. lets have the same line up and win the TOSS. |

All you guys and gals, why are you so excited about all this cricket nonsense? After all it's 22 grown-up men trying to hit a small ball with a piece of wood. God has a higher purpose for man!
Anyway in the mean time, while waiting for God, I hope Gaja and all the Sydneysiders will give their support to the boys to pull this one off. It wont be easy, Australians will come at us with everything they got, especially the crowds and the umpires. I thought Bracken was plumb LBW; would have won much sooner. |

'22 GROWN UP MEN TRYING TO HIT A SMALL BALL WITH A PIECE OF WOOD'
If I recall correctly crap was first dropped by Dr. Arthur C. Clarke. After he said that we went on to win the world cup.
This is a good omen, someone repeat this 'manthram' please and show the world that he is indeed a 'mantharakaraya.'
