Nimal Siripala is a pin-gona who cannot even negotiate successfully with health sector employees. Always someone else have to come to settle the issues with Health sector trade unions.
How this stupid man can negotiate with LTTE? |

Naleen, when i heard about Nimal was head of negotiation, i conclude govenement not interested in peace talks. In my view Nimal dont have the charm or good knowledge. he is a failure. someone here going to come and say he is a laywer by professiona nad legal advisor to formar president. he was in my view not up to the job.
imahinda wants war ,and not interested in peace therefore not intersted whoever go to the talks.
THIS TALK WILL FAIL , if people like GL goes there is possible for some improvement. |

According to what I hear now, the other two players are Jeyaraj and Rohitha Bogollagama.
Jeyaraj has no negotiation skills. He could not negotiate with the private sector consortium to settle the CWE issue. He should not negotiate with Shell Company to bring down the gas prices.
Bogollagama may be a good businessman. But what does he know about the ethnic issue?
Nimal, Jeyaraj and Bogollagama will not please anybody. Even JHU/JVP will not agree with this team ? let alone LTTE. I do not know what made Motta Raala to select them.
Both Nimal Siripala and Jeyaraj are known for their loose temper.
I do not have a high regard for both GL and Milinda, but they were obviously better choices than these idiots.
Ajan, I agree with you. I do not see that Motta Raala has taken this issue seriously.
At least he could have let his own secretary Lalith Weeratunage or alternatively Jayantha Dhanapala lead the delegation if he is serious. |

My personal view is this , I have respect for people like GL , he have just shown to the public while he was in oposition he can , and willing to help the government for its peace initiative. that shows countrys interst at heart.
if anyone asked why war didnt start , it could be the persuation of GL.
he may have advised Mahinda dont count on india , dont ailanate international community ( if anyone remember what sort of attitute Mahinda showed once elected, he alianated international community , and ruled out any western mediators, his appointments of all hardliners and so on)
it all suddently stoped.
(i have said so before the election mahinda have no clear vision or mind ( from his dress code ,psycologist will tell you , one minite he wore white national and shows he all pure and peace loving man , next minite he wear dress like thugs it is shows that he is confused)
he had discussion with GL and find that he wanted to pesuade peace. and took the advise of Gl and invited Norway, back of his mind his hardliners also wanted little time to prepare for war, now he is in crossroad. GL is inviting to the peace route , ratnasri fonseka, jvp,jhu all in war route.
i have no doubt he will take war route.
if he had GL as head of negotiation ,GLs and LTTE team had many round of talks and they can start where they left it. my suggestion would be if they start negotiating now and conclude offline what is acceptable and what is not.
Mahinda have already changed tone.( again you cannot take mahinda seriously it is because he have no steady mind)
he said recently LTTE wants separate country and i want unitary country, both side have to give and take.(hinting he will settle for federal model)
BUt above all mahinda is not a radical person, or self confident person who can grant federal soution. it is because he will be too nervous to implement anything new. as far as he is concered he just want to be president for 5 years and gohome.
will the talk succeed? no chance. unless Ranil Chandrika stand next to him and take it through.
In my view Chandrika is the only person who can take on those extreeme elements such as JVP and JHU. |

My view is that GL is a good man with good skills. what we dont want is a bunch of tourists going to chk on theie swiss accounts and who cant make decisions without extensive consultations. there is nothing much to talk to in the first round.
How do we satisfy the CFA. If GOSl is to make progress Karuna will have to be given up. I think thats why he pre empted with a 'ceasefire offer'. I also have a feeling the GOSl has lost its clout somewhat over these groups and they might be doing stuff to make sure they survive. TRO abductions is one example. |

Tamilcanuk , Karuna is currently in banglore safe house. he eat, watchTV and sleep. that is all he is going to do all his life. with srilankan government money and some indian money.
he dont declare war or ceasefire , its a Monk dressed as Karuna and he issue all sort of warnings. if you see karuna, in my view he is out of date. just ignore, |

Ajan,
yes i also think Karuna is not in Lanka but a few of his buddies are in lanka. if MR is to implement the CFA the first thing the tigers are going to demand and want to see results is article 1.8. with the IC looking on Its going to be a difficult for MR to wiggle out without giving up on the paras.
take a look at puthinam. i read somewhere the abductors spoke Hindi as well.
another thing the article mentioned was about Kadir and his plans to get hold of all the traitors( dougy, sangaree, Karuna ) and form a party. Kadir was being sidelined by CBK mid last yr and he had to hook up with the JVP for support which the JVP gave him. kadir unfortunately had to leave the world as he had some way overdue bills that finally caught up with him. |

Here is the evidence ,
There is no Karuna , its KarunaRatna a singhala monk is the leader he is abducting people and forcefully train them and get them to attack LTTe and tamils
Fifteen-year-old Senthilnathan Arulraj claimed that he surrendered to the mainstream Tamil Tigers after spending six months in a renegade rebel camp allegedly protected by the government military.
Arulraj said he was abducted by the renegade group about six months ago and was given military training under duress.
''There were about 70 of us in the camp and the army used to visit us at least thrice every day,'' he said.
It was not possible to independently verify Arulraj's claims.
The government has repeatedly denied protecting former Tamil militants and using them to attack the Tigers. It also has denied any knowledge of the alleged abduction of the relief workers. |

Sri Lanka is extremely lucky to have an Einstein like Naleen in SL. All are problems will be solved by Sri Lankan Einstein called Naleen. |
