some pvt firms have given holiday some are not.Very limited ppl of SL taking January as a NY not the majority of SL.Mainly city crowd not Down south.SInhala new year is in April I think you must be knowing that? |

I am fine, and you are right about my red eyes!! How are things in sunny Sri Lanka???
I read that UNP is having a lot of problems and the lack of a serious opposition to the gvt etc! What puzzeles me is if Rajapakse has a domineering position in politics! Why is he unable to provide a political solution model on the table??? Even after consultations with APC etc!I read the Sunday Times summary it does not deal with this main issue at all! Is not it funny?? and the cause of all the problems? |

The New Years I remember
As a kid remember that New Year gave me the opportunity to advanced to higher class in school, I remember my Father went to work as most of the people did in Sri Lanka knowing it is a sign of good luck to work a bit on the fist day of the year. I remember we (My Brother and Sister) had some fun with firecrackers, the wild play times we shared with our cousins from neighborhood houses. I remember the great food my mother and my aunts made and the party atmosphere each night when we gathered.
I am so grateful to my adults, who made my life very happy in its kinder years and I am sure I'll do the same to my young ones.
I am gladly taking the opportunity here to wish:
ALL MY FAMILY MEMBERS A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR WITH GOOD HEALTH, AND PROSPER.
Just a thankful thought.
