De-Merger of Northeast Provincial Council.
V Ananthasangaree sees no benefit from this de-merger.
The benefits are
1. One more ex-army (Sinhalese) officer will be appointed as the Givernor of Nothern PC.
2. After the PC elections are held there will be another Chief Minister and 5 more Ministers in addition to 8 Chief Ministers and 40 Ministers and the adheared administrative officers.
Daily Mirror reports that there is a shortage of qualified education officers in SL, this will put more pressure on the need to train more officers.
To pay for these (wasteful) bureucracy the President will order to print more currency notes to fuel an increase of inflation which is 19.3 in Dec 2006.
There is a press report that Sri Lankan govt is importing stamps from Tamil Nadu to meet the shortage. SLG may start importing more paper to print more currency notes. More production means more jobs and less unemployment. Our president is a genius. |

Daily Mirror reports the shortage of stamps is over after importing stams from Madrass (Sennai)
A spokesman from the Philatelic Bureau told the Daily Mirror that a stock of 4 million stamps received from India had been dispatched to post offices in the country. This stock was imported from Madras following a special cabinet approval.

New year arrived in good spirits with little,Welcome 2007 fireworks from insurgents.Welcome 2007,Retaliatory fireworks were directed toward incoming fire works and withing few minutes,Welcome 2007 fire display died down.Results not known.It's Mr.Brown's turn to publish further information.

Terrorists:-Terrorism is a term used to describe violence or other harmful acts committed (or threatened) against those considered innocents by groups or persons for political, nationalist, or religious goals. As a type of unconventional warfare, terrorism means to weaken or supplant existing political landscapes through capitulation, acquiescence, or radicalization, as opposed to subversion or direct military action.
