Dear Mr Brown, Friends and Members
Wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year. This year SL had witnessed new form of military and political moves since MR and his gang elected to the power. LTTE remains the same for decades. 2006 was one of the worst period in SL's history. Good thing I would think in 2006 is execution of Sadam. This will give a chilling message to MR and VP. |

Mr Brown,
Sivag,Thivya,Robins,Saint,Special and many more deserve the SM.
Just because someone posted 1000 plus misleading posts copied from TamilNet, they should not get the title of SM.
Most of the above listed members are hardcore LTTE members who are a part of an international terrorist st-up.
LTTE cyber cadres like Nale who uses a signature 'National Leader for Eelam' or something. Behaviours like this should not be entertained.
on simple terms, LN should not be a billboard for LTTE members to show-off their cruelity ...

Revy,
CD, that title was given to him by a Sinhala forum member, so just like YOU created the LTTE, YOU created that title
thank you for the clarification
so if we created the LTTE, you wouldn't mind if we destroy them.. right ?
hope this means you will not cry, each time we destroy LTTE bases and any infrastructure supporting them (i.e. bunkers, training camps, comm towers etc).

Its not like you haven't been trying for the last 30 years, so please carry on, we know just how effective your military is and so are not too worried about your futile efforts ;) |

Prospects for PEACE .. in the period a-head are good .. and the best news is that towards the end of Yr 2007, we may see 'drill rigs' positioned, and drilling begun for oil and gas in the Mannar Basin. (The Mannar Oil/Gas Basin strictly starts on the other side of the international boundary from us .. on the Indian side .. and is said to extend all the way down to Bentota). However, I would expect the first success-ful oil / gas well to be 'spudded' in the general area of Pesalai (where Russians were prospecting earlier, during Sirimavo Banadaranaike's time) .. and it may well be by Reliant Industries of India (who have a good track record). Believe, there will be other companies too .. including those from Russia, China, Australia .. and British, American and Iranian as well.
We need the proceeds from oil/gas found within our borders applied for national development .. development of the North and the East must receive due attention. Tamil people must persuade Piraba to give up this foolish notion of trying to fight and win against GOSL. He should allow the Tamil leader-ship to join main-stream politics, and see that moneys realised from these ventures are utilised fairly .. for the benefit of people in N and E .. and the whole nation gains, there-by. Sri Lanka's Expert Panel on power devolution ceases to function
Sunday, December 31, 2006, 15:06 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.
The Chairman of the Expert Panel, Dharmasiri Peiris, has tendered his resignation.
Dec 31, Colombo: The Expert Panel appointed to advise the All Party Representative Committee (APRC) of Sri Lanka on a framework for power devolution has sought clarification from the APRC about its role.
The panel has ceased to function until it receives the APRC's response, sources close to the Expert Panel said.
The last meeting of the Expert Panel, held last Thursday, concluded amidst confusion without a decision on when to meet again.
The Chairman of the Expert Panel, Dharmasiri Peiris, tendered his resignation, citing personal reasons.
The panel has been the centre of controversy after eleven of its 17 members endorsed a set of proposals for wide-ranging devolution of power, but this was opposed by the rest. For of the minority opinion put forward a different set of proposals, while two others had a different view from both these groups. |
