Thousands of Tamil civilians, Internally Displaced People, in the Sri Lanka Army besieged Vaharai region, Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. marched from Vaharai school IDP camp towards the Vaharai Hospital in a prosession, and handed over an appeal addressed to the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse, calling on the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) to allow the International Relief to reach Vaharai and re-open the A-15 access route, that has remained closed by the Sri Lanka Army for the last 2 months. The IDP`s also raised concerns over the alleged move to select Sampoor region to set up a Coal Power Plant preventing the internally displaced people of the area from resettling in their own lands.

People are forced to protest!
If they are suffering, they will be liberated soon! The ppl should realise that if they stay under LTTE, They r bound to suffer more! Hope they have that much brains! 23000-25000 ppl realised this and got to the other side! |

For me this is like the Peoples' force behind it. Same thing happned in Jaffna. NOw, they are organising the same thing in here.

| These are all under aged children. I can see the guns out of the shed in the back. If they did not come to this rally their hand will be chopped or their sisters or mothers will be raped. We know what happened to one man who voted in the last ellection. |

| People suffer. On seeing Piraba on his birthday bash, he doesn't seem to have any problem with food. So he has enough. Wait until the new digital ID is available to all. Then these people will get food aid over a wireless system. |
