As predicted, this article mentions about local elections and the expected victory by Karuna. Though I am not a fan of Karuna, it would be a good move to neutralize LTTE. Let Karuna be the CM of the eastern province. Govt. must give the police force to the province. One thing is clear. 2007 will be the year of shrinking for the mythical elam.

MDMK splits, Vaiko suffers a set back

By M Rama Rao reporting from Delhi

Marumalarchi Dravida Munnethra Kazhagam, founded by Vaiko after breaking away from DMK, the mother party to many of today's' Dravidian politicians, has suffered a formal split on Friday signaling the downfall of firebrand Vaiko. L Ganesan and Gingee N Ramachandran, the two dissidents, who were stripped off their party posts by Vaiko last week, turned the tables on Vaiko at a special General Council meeting they had convened in Chennai on Friday. The meeting passed a resolution expelling Vaiko from the party.
...
Political analysts attribute Vaiko's troubles to what they call his fall from the good books of LTTE. These commentators claim that the Tigers are distancing themselves from him as 'they don't find him that much helpful'.

ain't this the familiar story?
i think this 'splitting' is something to do with their genes!
lolz.

Vaiko can start his own separatist movement in tamilnadu. I think he is being discriminated.

yeah, i think we, Sri Lankans collectively, should protest this 'discrimination of minority Tamils in India'.

AGP:

Indian govt is going to ban public defecation which is proudly practiced in tamilnadu. That itself is discrimination. Tamilnadu citizens must be allowed to practice public defecation which they cherish to their heart so much. Maybe Sivag can start that too in London.

Sadam Will be gone in 23 minutes. Mahinda must be shivering now.

These guys don't even know what they are writing. Why would Mahinda worry about sadaam execution. In fact, Velu is the one inline for the same fate, not Mahinda.
