In other places, people set aside their differences and united to rebuild after tsunami. But, we are not that lucky due to a power hungry terror organization and hardline southern political leadership. LTTE demand to control the money resulted in nothing. JVP not willing share anything added to the misery. LTTE using tsunami donations to their coffers and to build their bunkers are prime examples of state of tsunami construction. LTTE cancer must be removed for SL to march forward.

After capturing Vacarai, next thing waiting for them is Mulathivu and it is going to be a huge logistic task for SL forces.

Hey freelancer we already have a date for the fall of the East, Ponseka said two weeks which was yesterday so that put it at Jan 9th, do you have any dates for this Mullativu capture?

Why I ask is that one of your compatriots said the SL economy would start booming with every area captured, especially the east, so I have a couple hundred thousand just lying around so I sould invest that in SL Rupees and common stock to take advantage of this isnider news.

This will open to front lines for LTTE and their military numbers will not able to face both onslaughts and eventual fall down of Mulathivu.

Hey freelancer, you are dashing my hopes now of making a quick profit, this is your plan? Come now your military LOST Mullativu trying the same thing, here are just a few of the futile attemtps from that time:

In the meantime, the Sri Lankans dispatched a few hundred troops in a rescue operation code named 'Thrivida Pahara'. The troops were airlifted into Alampil, an area close to the Mullaitivu base. This effectively forced the Tiger forces to fight on two fronts.

The Tiger units launched a holding attack on the relief force and concentrated on the central camp. In the evening of July 18, the entire camp fell to the Tiger forces. At the same time, the Sri Lankan relief force was surrounded by Tiger Special Forces units.

The Sri Lankans continued to attempt to land more troops to bolster their relief force commandos. Fresh troops were airlifted by helicopter into Alampil. On the evening of 19 July, a Sri Lankan naval craft, the 'Ranaviru' which arrived to establish a supply line, was attacked by Sea Tigers off the Mullaitivu coast. The vessel was sunk along with it's entire 40-man crew.
...

So yeah I need a better plan before I can trust your dates man!

GOSL was absolutely correct in preventing LTTE from entertaining any such notions of legitimacy

Umm LionDen your GoSL agreed to P-TOMS they signed it, and the International community backed it.

It was your supreme court that tore it down, so are you saying that in your democracy the supreme court is not independent of the government hehe ;)

get you facts straight before you try to argue in the big leagues boy.

If you have extra money, give to an internally displaced family in Vacarai.

For the date of falling of vacarai to SLA: Just wait for the end of monsoon, you will see more fire works !!

Some of us have mistaken the identity of Kofi Annan.

In Tamil Annan is brother but kofi Annan has nothing to do with Tamil in terms of his birth. His father or mother is not Tamil.

So please do not be angry with him.

LTTE Tamil Terrorist Leader Prabhakaran, also known as prabakaran is totally responsible for the missery in the North and East.

He will be killed by a Tamil mother if he comes out to meet his own people, from his 40 feet underground bunker.

Then and then only will the IC notice how much damage he has done to poor people.

No Vaharai date is already fixed, your army commander said two weeks, which is Jan 9th.

And I thought it was tigers who wait for the monsoon? Now SLA is waiting too??

BTW reading of the Mullativu victory it highlighted something about the SLA/GoSL and their ethnic cleansing programs:

The Sri Lankan army base at Mullaitivu covered a vast area and was bordered by the sea on one side. The camp occupied an area 2900m long by 1500 wide with a perimeter of 8500m. It had initially been set up as a smaller camp in the early Eighties. Over subsequent years, the camp was expanded by forcibly taking over the entire town of Mullaitivu, which was the administrative centre of the Mullaitivu district. INDISCRIMINATE ARTILLERY FIRE FROM THE CAMP HAD ALSO FORCED NEIGHBORING VILLAGES TO BE EVACUATED.

So what was the excuse here? The LTTE did not have any artillery until they captured Mullative? Hehe same pattern the SLA uses now to ethnically cleanse Tamil areas.
