Soon Vakarai will fall into the hands of SL forces. But D-Day is still waiting for them. After capturing Vacarai, next thing waiting for them is Mulathivu and it is going to be a huge logistic task for SL forces.

Strategically, it is less important to capture Elephantpass compared to mulathivu. Since surrender of Mulathivu will completely paralyze LTTE naval activities. SLA need at least 10,000 more soldiers to secure mulathivu in case they capture it.

How did you manage to get this figure? It is difficult to write and explain. Did you read it somewhere?

As far as I know SLA has limited capabilities for amphibious landing with tanks and MBRLS. Landing less than 1000 soldiers and few tanks at a time may bring disastrous results with compared of LTTE ground capabilities. The best approach would be to go for two prong attack. One land offensive starting from polmodei up to Mulathivu while Sea-borne landing to South of Mulathivu. This will open to front lines for LTTE and their military numbers will not able to face both onslaughts and eventual fall down of Mulathivu.

Asithri,

I suggest you stay holy and also keep your wings... :))

I was thinking something like 'Michael' (the clever/dirty angel) John Travolta, Andie MacDowell, in mid 90's.

Asthiri
I hear Karuna Amam has agreed to hold the captured areas so that SLA can move forward. Brilliant team work!

Then again you have to fight the bootlicker Kruna to regain back the territory.
Taliban was built by USA to fight USSR intervension in Afganistan Later USA has to fight & still fighting Taliban
What A sad plight.

Blah, blah, blah

Ate toomuch out of the tsunami fund together with MR (Hambntota fund)

Are you drunk? I don't see what this gibberish has to do with my post...if you are not drunk, then it is obvious that there are gaps in your education. LOL

Assthiri, the only gap appears to be that the one between your ears. Read what you wrote halfwit.

The word 'Collie' in SL is reserved for upcountry Tamils and here we have this pretentious rascal calling others that.

SO the word 'coolie' is 'reserved' for upcountry Tamils? Who told you that, the British fellow who you were servicing on the beach?

This is like the Black in the US calling the whites 'Niggers'...!

SO there is something inherent and bilogical about the world 'nigger' that it cannot be hurled by a 'black' against a 'white'?

I hope you have a chance to run into some KKKers. They will teach you a lesson or two about race.

Shan,

A military division comprises around to 10,000- 15,000 soldiers. So SLA must deploy at least one division at Mulathivu since Total cadre power of LTTE is around 10,000-15,000, SLA must match figures in the defensive mode. Given the geography of Mulathivu area, the area is accessible from thin land strips of North and South and LTTE can not go for a 360 degree assault. So in brief, SLA will have to defend two sides.
