Raves!

VP is stupid idiot.

it is a known issue

It's not a secret that LTTE was preparing for the final war in their last 4 years.

LTTE representatives provided a variety of explanations for how the money would be used. In many of the cases reported to Human Rights Watch, the funds were sought for ''the final war.'' Tamil families and business owners were told that the LTTE had a plan for driving out all Sri Lankan army forces from the North and East within two months, and that within that period the war would be over. Others were told that the LTTE was preparing to declare ''Tamil Eelam'' (i.e. independence) and needed to build its treasury. Some members of the community were also told that the funds were needed to gain United Nations (U.N.) recognition of Tamil Eelam, and that the U.N. would subsequently provide funds to the new Tamil state.

They didn't have clear-cut policy for EW IV. What did they do is showcasing the faces to cameras in Wanni.

Exactly! The EW IV brought nothing only more death!

If I were the leader of LTTE, I would have recruited 50k Tamils for the final war with a good mandate.

with your attitude, you still can be a leader to lead your people in a new, (positive) direction.

People are dieing everyday in Jaffna, Vakara people were treated like another West African country and these Wanni morons are giving daily soap opera press conference.
It's more like someone skipped the whole semester, then studying overnight for the following day exam. Simply PATHETIC !

Finally you realized!

LTTE has released some children they recruited by mistake! he he he he he.......

Joke of the year! This must be one of their 'shows' to show the outside world that they are not recruiting child soldiers! It must then also be a 'mistake' that they recruited thousands of other child soldiers over two decades to fight their selfish wars. Very sad.

Velu is the main problem! He is mad for sure. All these wars, I blame him. He is the instigator and perpetrator of most of this pointless violence just to keep his position. The evidence for this is the fact that over the years, even his deputies like mahathaya and other senior LTTErs like Karuna has seen the light and deserted this mad guy. So this proves, he is behind most of the violence. I wonder if there is a clever way to get him so no need for further wars to continue where both combatants of both sides and civilians will suffer needlessly.

I wonder whether there is a way to take him out! This will save thousands of tamil and sinhala lives.

It is good for the govt. for example, to put forward proposals like that by the APC to be presented as a possible political solution. I think the SLGovt must propose a power devolution proposal which both the tamils and sinhalese can agree to as well as the muslims, especially it should fulfill the needs of north-east tamils, muslims and sinhalese.

This would be first of all, be the right thing to do i.e. it will share some political power of the country with the tamils in the north since they lack to a certain extent this political power at the moment. Also the power devolution proposed should be for democratic tamil parties only and NOT for the LTTE. No party which has not engaged in the democratic mainstream should have any part in governing the NE.

Secondly and most importantly the maniac gang, the LTTE and mad velu, cannot have any kind of counter argument if power devolution is proposed for their insane schemes because what argument can they put forward? The initial demand of the tamil people was to have a certain amount of political power to control their affairs which are important to them. So LTTE cannot have any counter arguments for continuining their violence and when they do, this will make them the laughing stock of the world!

Education Ministry officials in the area said the students were attending the examinations in a state of uncertain mind and that good results off the examinations could not be expected

The LTTE peace secretariat claimed last evening that the 23 students, had ?expressed willingness? to be trained and were thus taken to a training base in Ampara but were later sent back when the leadership came to know they were underage

The MCNS said there were indications that the Tigers were to hunt children attending the examinations for forcible recruitment as the Tiger leadership in Vanni had instructed the sub Tiger leaders in Ampara and Batticaloa to recruit 300 children. LTTE cadres broke in to the examination centers in the area on 17 and 18 of this month and threatened the teachers that they should support them to conscript 300 children, it said.

Any way Mahinda has to offer any political solution first. That will isolate the ltte.LTTE prefers if Govt doesnt offer political solution, then they can claim they have got no other option but eelam.

yes, a political solution should be brought about - it can be even the 'proper' implementation of the Provincial Councils...

however, whatever the solution, it should be NOT to appease the LTT, but to appease the 'affected' Tamil populace. (Note the use of the word 'affected', because there are very good Tamil friends of mine who claim 'the problem itself is that we are looking for a solution to a non-existent problem' - at least as far as they are concerned!)

it's also a fact that taking out (as forest claims) ValaPalle Parayakaran is REQUIRED!

if i am to prioritize, i'll list...
1) taking out Parayakaran
2) offering solution for tamil grievances

why? with Parayakaran around, Tamils and Sinhalese alike have a much BIGGER problem! - a question of life and death...
