| It portrays the present desperate situation. Tamils were considered to be unfit for military by the British generals who advised the colonial govt not to recruit them. But the anti-Tamil riots and the broken promises and the way our democratic leaders were treated and the humiliations suffered at the hands of SL leaders changed the attitude and personalities of Tamils. The culture that gave foremost importance to education has somersaulted to prioritise militancy and defence at the top. |
