When you said 'pray for our motherland' I thought of my favourite political leader 'Thanthai Chelva'.
When he resigned from the KKS seat in protest against the GOSL he said:

God save our Tamil community!
But you are right; now only God can save our country. I do pray everyday for peace and harmony in our country!!

this invitation is open to any Sinhalese/Tamil/Muslim non-racist non-smokers. I dont tolerate racists and smokers so they are exepmted.

where does this leave me. I aint a smoker but am a Temp racist. can we work around this. ofcourse put something in the middle and I'll forget my racist views!

this is a national shame. Sri Lanka is no longer known for its happy smiling people and beautiful scenery. It is known for outrages such as this. Perhaps we should join the African continent, that is, if they would allow such moral bankrupts.

Sorry, I know you were one of the persons who have backed me when I was in trouble and also somebody who has written lots of good about me.
Having said that, when it comes to FRIENDS I have strict principles.
If you support either LTTE or JHU or JVP you are NOT my friend. Period. I never never never in my life it with an open LTTE/JHU/JVP supporter for a drink.
Sometimes I have to work with racists in my job and other work I do. But I keep my interactions with them minimal strict to business. I never cross the line and become friends with them. Never.
On the other hand, I have no problems with people with any other political opinion, as long as they are not racists, be them UNP or SLFP or SLMC or LSSP or whatever. (Even TNA. Raviraj was somebody I truly respected and had very high hopes for. He was one person who had realised the need to unite the divided nation. Alas, even he had to die.)
I do not definitely agree with Vimukthi, who is a Marxist, while I am a dedicated capitalist, but I have no problems in wholeheartedly accepting him as a friend.
This is because I have seen the dirty face of racism and terrorism with my own eyes and I never approve both, in whatever form.
Unlike many Tamils here, you were a person who has lived among Sinhalese and is best suited to build a bridge between the two communities rather than burn it forever.
I have so many times requested you to think about this but if you do not listen to me I cannot help.
