COLOMBO: Government announced yesterday it could not afford to pay the Rs. 500 increment to pensioners promised in the Budget, Public Administration Ministry Secretary Dharmasena Dissanayake told a media conference yesterday.
according to analyst government new budget looks even interesting because if the country have 500 billion income they have planed to spend 800 billion that is 60% more spending than income. previous government have done the same and they blame it on war and war spending.
