That is very unfortunate if that is the case, coming to you own country, where you have the right to be, just as much the next person, even considering your politics.
We want Tamil Eelam for the same reason, we want to feel home in our country, without the Singhala hegemony, threats and intimidation.
You are proposing to replace 'sinhalese hegemony' with LTTE dicatatorship. But that is my opinion.
The problem with what you are proposing sister is, I would like to go anywhere in my own country. However I have never been able to go to Jaffna, and if I go to the northeast I fear for my life. I don't know when the tamil mobs will attack me. I don?t know when the LTTE thugs will threaten to extort money from me..... |

What VP achieved in 23 years is what PLO couldn?t achieve in 50 years. VP has ended the one island dream of Singhala racists. The Singhala terrorists, who are denying the Tamil homeland concept cannot go to parts of Sri Lanka. They won?t even dare to cross the borders of the Tamil homeland. VP is the nightmare of the Singhala terrorists.
VP has acheived jack, asides to death, destruction and mayhem for the tamil race.
Funny how us 'sinhalese terrorists' can't got to the wanni, but you freedom fighters can still land in Colombo, or live there etc.

I am a Jaffna Tamil and I have been faithful to Jaffna. My book will soon be published on behalf of Jaffna. If not for our ambitions you would have become lost in this war. So, be grateful for the intellectual leadership of Jaffna Tamils. I have worked with both groups - as part of them. Hence I believe I have the authority to speak. If you seek to divide - the loss is yours.

I beg to differ
the LTTE - pariah's condemned the world over, controlling a rapidly declining area, consisting just the Wanni, with an aging dicatator, heading an organisation with cracks in it.
The PLO/Palestinians - recognised the world over, with legally recognised governance, and a palestinian authority (trappings of a government) with diplomatic ties with most of the world. well on their way to a separate state.

Again Jace buddy I would be naive to say there was no discrimination, but it is the LAW that is important, because it was by law, that SL made us 2nd class citizens, it was by law they stole our land, and it was through the lack of law that they got away with countless thousands of murders, rape, torture and disappearances.
No matter what dicrimination we may face in the west, none of the above can be done to you without recourse. The white man can curse us pakis all he wants, but he cannot come and steal my home, his own white police will be carting him away to jail. |

Is that not called Independence? Today an Amnesty International worker asked me to sign a petition to help abused women. I signed and asked him how they were going to help? He started showing me brochures and said that Irene Khan who recently won the Sydney Peace Prize was a good example to push governments. I said governments cannot help. WE HAVE TO HELP OURSELVES. I said I learnt this the hard way. I am helping Tamils find their own solution. Tigers are the vehicle through which Tamils are seeking this at the political level. When Tamils are happy Tigers will be happy. Like me, THE TIGERS WILL NOT BE TOLD.
