This cannot happen as long as LTTE is strong militarily as they wield power over the Tamil population through the power of the gun.
And this is where too much ingestion of punnakku has led you astray, the Tamil people support the LTTE not by the power of the gun, because we know they are our only defense against unbridled GoSL hatred, that has been shown us for 56 long years. No rebel movement has survived without the support their people, you would be foolhardy to ignore this well proven fact.
SO
make genuine peace with the Tamil people, or continue the fight for ever.
The Tamil people know that the ONLY reason we are even discussin the 'Tamil issue' is BECAUSE the LTTE is strong, otherwise as espoused by so many here itself, the question would be 'what Tamil issue'? Go ask oyur vinis and anuds what they have to say, so do you think for a minute the Tamil people will stop supporting their saviours?

For example, the stocks hit new records the day after velu's speech and were up on green when the LTTE tried to kill defence secretary!

Actually Ranaguna - if you read the official statement, MR has distanced himself from ALL 4 reports and not committed to any of them at this stage. Time will tell obviously - my own personal take, there will be an eventual hybrid of all 4 |
