Stop Global warming... Have a small nuclear war.
Tuesday, 12 December 2006 - 5:46 AM SL Time

So first we have this news item:

[Arctic ice could disappear in summer by 2040: study

Global warming could melt almost all of the ice in the Arctic during the summer months by the year 2040, according to a study to be published Tuesday.

The we have the following:

[Small nuclear war could lead to cooldown

SAN FRANCISCO - Some of the scientists who first advanced the controversial `nuclear winter` theory more than two decades ago have come up with another bleak forecast: Even a regional nuclear war would devastate the environment.

Using modern climate and population models, researchers estimated that a small-scale nuclear conflict between two warring nations would cause 3 million to 17 million immediate casualties and lead to a marked cooldown of the planet that could lead to crop failures and further misery.

So the solution seems quite simple to me, we need a small nuclear war to stop global warming!

BTW this would be great for global trade, we have a whole new ocean to use in the Summer, straight from N. America to Russian and Europe, sweet, I think I need to invest in some good suitable lands in Northern Canada than can be turned into harbours ;)

Revy,

ice could disappear in summer by 2040

By 2040 I would be closer to 80 years. So I am not that worried, but I guess there're many who would worry.

Its funny banmud reseructed this old post lol

but yeah, this is why I don't buy half these doom and gloom junk science predictions that man is responsible for all this, as you can see we have two doom and gloom predictions that cancel each other out.

Should ask environuts if man responsible for the ice ages or for the heating that followed, the world's cycles will occur whether we like it or not, deal with it, stop trying to make a buck scaring people.
