Civilians trapped in Vakarai fighting
Monday, 11 December 2006 - 3:41 AM SL Time

Sri Lanka military authorities have accused the International truce monitors and aid agencies of neglecting the flight of the civilians caught in the conflict.

Military spokesman Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe said the ICRC did not respond to a call by the forces to remove civilians trapped in Vakarai.

`We asked them to take all necessary steps including using boats to transport civilians out of the area but there was no positive response,` he told BBC Sinhala.

The great paradox of liberation !!

They say liberation is for tamils
but
'thousands of minesaround Varakai to prevent people leaving' - They prefer tamils dead than being alive !

They shout about tamils suffering in Jaffna
but
prevents food being sent and threatned shop keepers. Thye rejoice in tamil suffering !!

They say the fight is for tamil freedom
but
tamils under LTTE have no freedom at all. ! Vanni is a giant torture chamber !

They say it is for tamil liberation
but
around 1/2 million of tamils have left freedom land in utter disgust never to return. Others are kept forcefully !

They said part of the struggle was b'use lack of university places for tamil kids
but
now willingly sacrifice thousands of tamil kids for a dream. Kids are told 'if they don't go forward they will be shot from behind'.

They said the tamils were economically deprived
but
now tamil areas have gone back to 'bullock cart age'

Raviraj was killed by them
but
he was given the honour of 'great man' and asked tamils to cry for his soul !

WHEN IS THIS BLUFF GOING TO END !!

He said she said does not work unless you have a basis to prove. You can pump any amount of propaganda but only people like you who cannot make a judgment call on their own will buy it.

This is not a new game. The famous one lately being a young lady during the Kuwait war saying the Iraq military attacked the hospital and killed infants. Later the young lady turned out to be the Kuwait ambassador's daughter and no such thing happened.

When did the GOSL delegate the power to protect its civilians to the International Community?????

The human nature is to protect the children, vulnerable and the feeble.

What are we seeing now? Are we dealing with 'humans' who have even a 'grain of humanity'

The so called liberators, after trapping the civilians with mines, are hiding behind them ( as per SLMM, Red cross and the UN) to make sure they get killed just to go around the world later to say the GOSL is killing innocent civilians.

It is obvious that the liberators do not care too hoots for the people whom they say that they are fighting for! They prefer them dead rather than being alive !

Whos liberation are they fighting for???? Certainly not the tamils .......

Dispicable barbarity beyond human comprehension !!

Gaja:

Not protect... IT IS TO REMOVE

SLA want only to remove tamil people from the conflict zone held by tigers...........

Gaja... looks like the age is catching up. Suggest you retire from tiger terrorism..........activity.

A state that calls itself sovereign and a government that says has jurisdiction over all its citizens and serves them all but:

Cannot provide equal protection
Cannot provide equal Justice
Cannot feed its total population

Why do you need this?

Is is time to seriously think of a military government for the first time in SL?
Is Democracy in its current form workable or laughable?
