JVP must not underestimate the level of LTTE issue. There are clear limits that party politics of Sri Lanka can do. Also, Sri Lanka has no strong foundation to be independent in this issue.
Ghotabaya bomb -- withdraw from CFA -- war,
is not a good scenario for MR,...
If JVP is in power, it will understand how difficult this issue is.

At this point govt is practically right not to take any step to-wards eliminating CFA.While PTA itself would do the work of fight against terrorism the govt will keep open the way for negotiation settlement whenever LTTE ready for it.Hence it paves the way for continuous 'defensive' military actions to take the guerrillas to the negotiation table with 'heavy' GOSL conditions.
These conditions will be heavier for ever so as LTTE would not come to talks until they are completely defeated.GOOD WORK GOSL

Asi bro,
I said,
Ghotabaya bomb -- withdraw from CFA -- war,
is not a good scenario for MR,...

Yes, its not a good excuse for MR to withdraw from CFA. Though LTTE issue is deadly for Sri Lanka, MR has to face the IC and maintain a moderate line to handle it. Go with emotion is not practical.

The fake left hypocrites of the JVP have spoken. These so-called 'marxists' are ready to bed down with the US, EU, Japan or any other imperialist power to bring military defeat upon the LTTE and devastation to the Tamil people of the Northeast. What a disgrace! JVP should remember what happened to other left parties in Sri Lanka that have betrayed the working class on the Tamil national question. The LSSP and CP are just feathers on the SLFP cap these days. This is the future of the JVP as well.

Pulling out of the CFA is something the the JVP itself would not do were it in the position to do so because of their new found obedience to world imperialism. They can crow about the CFA from the sidelines only to fool the Sinhala masses that they take the strongest line against the LTTE.

Motta Rala knows who his masters are. Pulling out the CFA would be the honest thing to do for the MR regime which has been waging the military option. Tear up the CFA and give two weeks notice to the LTTE that it is time for war. But principles and truth are long forgotten words in the Sri Lankan political context.

So we will see more of CBK's 'war for peace' being continued by MR. Sooner or later after a Katunayake type attack or two that brings the country to a halt these idiots will go running back to the table for the circus to begin all over again.

No way forward with the war mongers and the liars of the LSFP/UNP/JVP/JHU. It is time for frsh leadership in the South for the sake of all.
