Recent Eastern History

1) Army attack mavilaru ---- LTTE say they twart attack big time and several army killed ---- Army takes MAvilaru ----- LTTE Trumpetnet announces this in the last paragraph in some unrelated article.

2) LTTE CLAIMS to control muttur and muttur jetty ----- LTTE goons very happy on this forum and posted links to video's of Army running ---- within few days ---- Sri Lankans put up pics of dead LTTE and weapon donations ---- Muttur story disappears! I MEAN TACTICAL WITHDRAWL! he he!

3) Sampoor---- Well, the sampoor Eli (rat/elilan) says he'll never give up Sampoor ---- Well you know the story -- Ok ok another tactical withdrawl.

4) I'll add alll the beatings LTTE got from Karuna as one pint. I guess its a big insult for LTTE to get hammered by Karuna but when karuna gets hammered, its something which is expected so its not a big deal. But LTTE has been on the recieving end more!

5) Now comes Verugal and Vakarai, the on going battle ---- civilians civilians civilias shouts the LTTE and the leaders who should be with their ppl during hardships have escaped to Vanni (wonder why) ---- Elilan is hatching a plan for his escape ---- Trumpetnet is all on about the success of LTTE in this battle --- The LTTE goons need to take a SRI LANKAN map and check out the East to see how well surrounded Verugal and Vakarai are by SLA and in the Jungles by Karuna. Chances to Escape is the sea and meet the navy or risk the jungle! --- In few weeks we'll know the story and expect a few bombs to blast cos LTTE can desperate to keep their funds flowing by diverting the attention.

LTTE GOONS NOTE:
This is only the Eastern scene. In the North both sides have lost one fight each so i guess its equal there. LTTE seems to be more powerful in the North but LTTE will find it hard to explain to the Disapora as to how n y it lost its East!

SWETs don't care for bodycounts... it's the $$$$count that's paramount....

I find your word 'SWET' Racist and Down grading to Tamils since it simply means STUPID WE TAMILS. I have a High regard for u..Tamils are Not stupid and i do not find what this word got to do with any Terrorism in Srilanka.

I am happy to hear you do not want to talk about Religion cos they bring hatred!
U should then avoid talking about it at all..

There are so many topics in this very forum and so many words people speak in here brings Hatred as well but we have to play the game with that special spirit that 'We Srilankans' are taught.
best way malli give it a SMILE!!

Lankan bid to capture Vaharai continues

PK Balachandran

Colombo, December 10, 2006|18:12 IST

Scores of civilians, government troops and LTTE cadres were killed and many more were injured, as the Sri Lankan offensive to capture the strategic area of Vaharai in Eastern Sri Lanka from the LTTE continued for the second day on Sunday.

The government said that 40 Tamil Tigers were killed and another 40 were injured. The army, it added, lost two soldiers. Forty personnel sustained various kinds of injuries.

The LTTE said that 30 Sri Lankan Army soldiers, including two senior officers, were killed in the battle over Eechchilapatru in East Sri Lanka on Saturday.

The LTTE did not give casualty figures for Sunday.

Fighting began on Sunday at 6 am when government troops moved towards Vaharai.

By mid day, there was a pitched battle at Panichenkerni, south of Vaharai, the LTTE?s military spokesman, Rasaiah Ilanthirayan, alias Marshall, said.

Artillery shells fired by the army had fallen on the Kandalady school housing Tamil refugees from Patchenai and Vammuivadduvan, killing 10 of them, Marshall said.

On Saturday, the Sri Lankan special forces had started an offensive from the Mahindapura army camp at 5 am, supported by Multi-Barrel Rocket fire from the Kallaru camp.

The troops had broken through the LTTE?s Forward Defence Lines (FDL) and reached Eechchilapatru also called Eechchilampattu, where fierce resistance for several hours resulted in the death of 30 Sri Lankan soldiers.

The army columns were forced to retreat, the LTTE said.

It further said that the retreating troops had fired artillery shells into the villages of Vammivedduvan and Patchenai, killing 15 civilians and injuring thirty five.

The LTTE, in turn, shelled the Kallaru army camp and neutralised the guns there, Marshall said.

On Sunday, the army?s shelling was incessant. Shelling was carried out from the Kallaru, Kadjuwatte, Valaichenai and Karadikulam army camps.

The government hospital at Vaharai had reported 20 civilian deaths by Sunday.
