Gaja,
Would anybody of sane mind consider a terrorist group a legitimate organisation. Their dealings with some countries like Nazi collaborator norway does not give them legitimacy.
Even Indian government sometimes had dealings with sandalwood theif Veerappan. That does not give legitimacy to him.

Yes, likewise the Bandit Queen.

That does not give legitimacy to him.


Is Truth more powerful than Right? If majority identify with the person - then s/he is their representative at that time for that place. Only they can change that. It is a right in the system of Democracy. It is a right that flows from the system of God. We are family even when we may be wrong. So long as majority Tamils feel that they are not part of Sri Lankan family whose leaders are elected by the Sinhalese - Tamils have the right to protect their minds against aliens. Home rule might 'seem' less right than foreign rule. But it is natural and feels like being in mother's lap - however wrong a mother may be. God chose that mother for us and that Truth is our natural strength.

Trunth is more powerful than the right. What is right to you may different to what is right for P'akaran. For you the benefits you get from working for this terrorist organisation turn you to the right of choosing these murderers as rightful organisation. For P'akaran the might he benefits at the head of this bandits give him the right to head it.
For GOSL has the moral obligation, therefore right of being the soveriegn government to protect all citizens from the bandits.
I admit Right is relative. But we have a conventional right. Under your theory anybody tasted human flesh has the right to be a canibal.

This is one of the finest and longest waiting games Government of Sri Lanka ever staged and the meaning to rush to unstage it this much fast is not a correct thing to do, Government of Sri Lanka may want to put the blame on the other side and go through this troubled period with minimum losses. Let the others break the truce and use the circumstances intelligently.

You are not trying to give me hemlock.
We have conventional rights or morals. We behave well towards neighbours, we don't kill people to get what we won't. In a civilised society we have the conventional moral codes. Ehtics of terrorists are conventional to terrorists. Government accepted by the world have accepted codes of behaviour. Only contact the conventional government have with svagery terrorists is in the conflices. They don't make conventional war. So what kind of code government obey when it come into contact with terrorists.
Truth may be Maya. I am not prepared go into that deep here, becuse ti is a goal we aspire.
When you equate P'akaran's taste for power with the taste for flesh you get the meaning. He will kill unreservedly for power.

The CFA was of no use anyway especially to the GoSL. It only helped VP to collect more weapons and gave him time to reorganize his brain dead carders. The Norwegians are supporters of VP and should have been kicked out a long time ago. Why have they been given so much freedom to interfere in our internal affairs? Or are they just there for the sun and sand? I have seen the way some of them were enjoying themselves at Kandalama when they were supposed to be monitoring the CFA. I say again, the only solutions lies in the barrel of a gun because that is the only language that terrorists understand even Tamil ones.
