See VP is not a fool, its too late, there is no more negotiations, you had your last chance, adn your Fool in Chief blew it trying little party tricks.
If VP is not a fool, he should not get so excited with what other fools do. You can live with all those rhetorics for another 30 years, but nothing will happen except Tamils in Sri Lanka and world will degrade their status as a race. |

Greets
Tamilcanuck
I think of you much higher than this. Anyway try to get the picture.
In the reality if someone to think the road side war hero cemetery of ltte in the Government held area, Hmm, I can't imagine the picture of it.
I guess, they (authorities) will properly mark the cemetery place so none will build their stores or houses on that land but leave the war memorial as it was under the ltte rule, well it is something too much to ask for.
Have to go now. Edited By - Saint - 30 Nov 2006 05:24:48 GMT |

To the Sinhalese in this forum;
To understand the tamils' anguish in this case, take a moment to revisit the almost mythical mindset created among the captive tamil population by the tigers; that of a martyr, who would someday rise victorious, a true pheonix like phenomenon. This fiction is backed by grandios titles and recognition awarded to the parents of suicide bombers and others who have been killed in terroristic activities. The physical connection which provides some reward or consolation, and the only sentimental connection with the myth to be found in the daily lives of those parents lie under the monuments in those cemetaries.
In taking that away, these folks are faced with a stark reality which bombs the myth into oblivion. 'Not only did your children die in vain, but even your pretexes to their greatness can be taken away at our will' is the harsh communication thrust in the faces of these people.
Assuming what the propagandist trumpetnet is saying is true, the message must be a devastating psychological blow to those who continue to stand behind the brute.
As a parent, I feel an innate sense of sadness for the parents whose unfortunate children became the victims of tamil racism and were buried there. Nevertheless as parents, they also bear responsibility for allowing such racism to be inculcated in their children, leading them to such tragic deaths.
Their suffering is retribution for the harm these folks actively wished upon another group of people, purely based on racial intolerance which defines the Sri lankan tamil from all others. |

Freelancer,
SLA is not target to disrespect dead, but to avoid the LTTE propaganda of glorifying death in order to attract more youth into sacrifice their lives.
This reveals how little you know of our culture. Those who have passed away are honoured so that they join our ancestors and protect us. It is also our way of preserving our investment in these heroes when they lived with us. This is our way of helping them attain Nirvana. It's a pity you do not know these basics.

Raves;
Nobody controls another's destiny. We make our own.
It is only when we don't, that someone else controls ours.
This is the universal truth.
But the tamils are whiners and will always blame someone else for their self-inflcited misery. |

Many of these people believe in what they and their children do. Relatively speaking they trust the Tigers more than they trust the Army.
Public Administration in Western countries is a big farse. At least these people believe in what they do.
