It is an unacceptable thing to leave it alone in the Government held area, because the cemetery belongs to terrorists and as long as this phenomenon of independent state through terrorism exists and as long as the ltte fights Sri Lankan forces it will be an unacceptable thing to leave ltte war memorial burial places as a hero's memorial.
Just think, everyday morning, to see the place and keep up the morality of the forces, I think it is an impossible thing to do.
I guess, they (authorities) will properly mark the cemetery place so none will build their stores or houses on that land but leave the war memorial as it was under the ltte rule, well it is something too much to ask for.

Terrorists = war heroes now? Having aid that i can see the emotional reactions this would create on both sides.
I was interested in the points above about recognition of fighters as a defacto recognition of statehood. Presumably where 2 seperate countries are fighting each other i can see the relevance.

And it seems your Uncle is a lot smarter than you will ever be, he is quite right. For someone who hasn't grown up with that water it would be disaster to take it straight, unless it was boiled over again and such. |
