LTTE Plans to Starve Civilians to Death in Vakarai

Information has revealed that the LTTE is planning to starve civilians to death in Vakarai with the aim of discrediting the government and the security forces in the eyes of the International Community. Military analysts point out that the detained civilians are the only defence for tigers trapped in Vakarai, following their humiliating defeat in Sampur. Tigers fled towards Vakarai, unable to resist the security forces in Sampur. According to security forces, around 300 tiger cadres are operating in small pockets in the Vakarai area, behind the cover of civilians. Civilian sources have confirmed that Tiger terrorists have forcibly detained some 30,000 civilians in Vakarai.
According to intelligence reports, tigers want to see some Tamil civilians starve to death so that they could launch a media campaign saying that ethnic minority Tamils are starved to death by the `Sinhala dominated oppressive state`. Such a scenario would earn them more publicity and sympathy for their so called `liberation struggle`
Earlier this month, we revealed how intermittent artillery and mortar attacks from tiger controlled areas on security forces` detachment in Kadjuwatta and Mankerni were blocking food supplies to Vakarai. The Army was unable to give a security guarantee to food convoys beyond Panichchankerni due to continuous artillery shelling and mortar fire by the tigers.
Four families that entered government controlled areas yesterday, had revealed to the security forces that food items transported in 14 vehicles last Monday were kept by the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) and later given to the LTTE. Intelligence sources have also received information that there is an acute shortage of food and medical supplies in LTTE camps.
A few days ago, a surrendered LTTE cadre revealed that around 11,000 anti personnel mines were laid by the tigers in and around Vakarai to stop the exodus of civilians to government controlled areas.
Some of these civilians have already lost their lives caught in the crossfire between Tamil tigers and Government forces as they were deliberately used by the tigers as a human shield inviting retaliation from the security forces.
Firstly, they were forcibly detained and ordered to build bunkers and move logistics. Then, they were used as a human shield to attack security forces. Tigers moved heavy guns close to civilian settlements and directed fire at security forces defences. Troops, unaware of civilian presence retaliated on identified enemy gun positions killing over 40 innocent people. Now they are planning to starve them to death.
What would they do next with these detained civilians?
How would they use them to their advantage?

How lucky are the 450,000 tamils who have escaped to the south to enjoy life and peace. Has any tamil gone in opposit direction ???????
If free movenment is given to all tamils, the LTTE leadership can have perfect liberation with the jungle animals!! |

The only consession the LTTE gave to the flock was to allow

Now even this consession is taken away from them !!
