This is the diffrence between North & the rest of the country. In the South, you can state such things as Kotalawela said and yet survive.
This could be true to a certain extent, Sinhalese would survive but experience shows that Tamils wont: Takari, Rajvir etc.
Nothing could be spoken against the LTTE & survive.
This is not true either: AnandaSangaree, Devananda, Karuna etc.
What is important: if the presumption is that you cannot speak your mind and survive in the North, which is wrong. Do you want the same in the south?
If people cannot tolerate different opinion and unable to challenge that school of thought and decide to attack the person instead. What is the south going to be left with? Is this not the birth of the current problem? Do we need another? |

When somebody speaks the truth,this religious fanatics cannot tolerate this..may be telling truth is against their religious believes, who knows..
Which is violation of Constitution,telling the truth.this may be in the dictionary of Omalpe Sobhita..Sobana thera .You people will never see the heaven straight way to the appaya..

As GG Ponnambalam being the prosecuting QC on that case indicated in his evidence,Ossie Corea was found jumping over the fence before the shooting,uttering 'hurry muthang'meaning he has done his job leaving the gun for somarama to shoot SWRD.other people implicated in this was Buddarkikitha who was a bad man,and kept a well known woman as a mistress.Somarama became a Christian before he was hanged.These are not real Budhist priests,but opportunist,that made the true Buddhists very angry during that time.Somarama was found practicing his gun at Muturajawala,which came in the evidance.I wonder what JHU would do today if a such a priest was found guilty and hanged? These are bad times in our country,thus we should not allow one lot of fanatics to replace another lot.If we are to have a peaceful,prosperous country,then we should detach ourselves from the bonds of any fanatical religious sect,May it come from the Muslims,Hindu,Buddhists or Christians. |

DVLADV, Don't worry! UDI alone does not give statehood. At least one other sovereign state should also recognise the state declaring UDI amongst other criteria for a state to be recognised as a sovereign independant state. So this nonsensical talk of the next budget in EElam is simply that some people are still in their dreams!

Shame on Kotalawala, This man who is making money from the Sinhalese, living among them has made several statements supporting the LTTE. It is ok to feel compassion for people, Tamil Muslim or Sinhalese, but to praise a ruthless terrorist organization is unacceptable. What the Sinhalese now do is to boycott his businesses.So that he can be a part of mythical elam.

When I went through your comments about above matter,I felt really sorry for you.With my this comments I do not try to make any body clean,with regards to the above matter,but trying my best to make understand that the way you used your little knowledge about Buddhist philosophy to insult the GREAT GREAT TEACHER CALLED 'THE BUDDHA' (nobody can compare with his teaching and knowledge now and forever).
When you mentioned the 'BUDDHIST MONK' it means the person who follower of Buddhist teaching in 'saffron robe'(It shouldn't be the correct word but I do not know)but just because somebody in saffron robe,purely for his personal benefits other than nothing about spiritual life you can not called them 'BUDDHIST MONK'.Tomorrow, even you can be in saffron robe but you will never become a 'BUDDHIST MONK' other than a 'JUST A MONK'.There are so many 'BUDDHIST MONKS' in our good society but only thing you can not see neither hear them because you are not mature enough (not fortunate)to understand their Buddhist teaching.Buddhist teaching only for those who can 'THINK' and wise enough to understand.So 'BETTER TRUTH-POSTS 346' in future when you comments on Budd ism wisely think twice.
