If they do not accept this solution we should impose on them with the help of India & IC,
After all IC do not know what is this panchayat syatem.
We should tell them that panchayat system is better than the federal system, or we should impose something like a tribal system which exsist in Africa. |

Hey Robbins!
Mahinda is a great leader born in south (sinhala),
We treat him as the 'dutugamnu' of our era..
He has shown the love towards to the country by sending his son to the navy.

Siva7,
As a true Tamil I believe LTTE should feed their own people & show the world that they could feed their own people & get the country separated from Sri Lanka otherwise should drop this unwanted war & live with Sinhala people like Murali does with the cricket team. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Good Point mate.
Cheers. |

I am sorry to see the sinhala population is caught up in this (inferior superior) complex mentality and thereby each leader trying to go back thousnds of years to prove themselves Dutugemunu and the rest of it... The day you guys realise you got to move forward to go forward... will be the day of progress....
Its pathetic these sinhala leaders for the last fifty years presenting themselves as Dutugemunu version 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9....... and see the results of fifty years of versions of Dutugemunus...... failed state onthe way to be recognised as terrorist state... begging all over the world to feed the people..... be proud be very proud.... |

Well, I am not offending you I guess, I think you were talking about the feeding thing hypothetically, as an organization ltte is not ruling according to democratically standards, they are imposing and suffocating people of their own kind to get what they (ltte) want.
Recently most of the people were arguing that if Government of Sri Lanka let the ltte to live in their autonomy freely and so on, guys it is not possible, even after the this months killings of those innocent civilians international community did nothing to punish the Government because it is THE, I mean THE Government of Sri Lanka. | It?s sad to note the situation in our country, small groups like Jvp, Ltte, jhu controls the countries progress. Where do main political streams stand here? First Srilanka must change the election system & eliminate the jokers in the cards. Other then that it?s a never ending story. |

Dutugamunu is one of the greatest kings if not the greatest of all, so it's normal for our politicians to imitate him, as you pointed out we had very nasty kinds of politicians in the last fifty years, and among them there were few Tamils too, I guess at least they didn't pretend to be Dutugamunu imitators.
Sri Lanka will never become a failed state especially because India has her own shear of 60mil Tamils and India never will let ltte dreams come true by knowing the next stop will be Tamilnadu. 'euphoricaltamilland' is just a dream Edited By - Saint - 22 Nov 2006 10:02:18 GMT |

Anton Balasingham is in critical health condition
Wed, 2006-11-22 17:47
By Asian Tribune?s Medical Correspondent
London, 22 November, (Asiantribune.com): Anton Balasingham, the self-styled ideologue of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is suffering from serious health condition and said to be very critical. It is said that a type of cancer has spread all over in his vital organs and according to medical sources it cannot be medically cured. According to the doctor, it seems that Anton Balasingham is now resigned to his fate.
Reports reveal that Balasingham 68 years old, married second time to Adele , an agency nurse from Australia, was suffering from diabetes, coronary conditions and has also a transplanted kidney donated by a LTTE cadre due to chronic conditions of his kidney.
According to a report in one of Sri Lanka?s Tamil Language regional daily, Balsingham is suffering severely for the last 9 months as he has been afflicted with diabetes, renal insufficiency, high blood pressure, heart related conditions and as such he is not involved in serious political works.
Last time he was seen in public was when he visited Geneva in February and led the LTTE delegation in two-day talks with the Government of Sri Lanka. As his health condition failed he did not participate in the last round of talks held in Geneva.
Since Heroes Day celebrations first started in 1989 Anton Balasingham was the speech writer to the reclusive LTTE leader Prbakaran. But now it is unclear whether Balasingham would be able to come up with another speech for Prabakaran to be read in the coming 27th of this month. It is generally accepted that it will be only Balasingham who is well disposition to articulate the thinking of Prabakaran.
In the meantime, Asian Tribune learns that doctors, who tested Balasingham, diagnosed that the cancer has spread in his intestine, liver, lungs, and bones and all over the other organs in his body. Doctors are of the view that serious spread of cancer might have started within the last one year.
Due to cancer he suffers from serious body pains and he is being frequently administered with ?morphine? (heroin) pain relieving injections. The side effect of morphine injection would be drowsiness and incoherent speech - unable to converse properly and immobility. Morphine according to medical sources is the last medication used as pain killer to a patient for the unbearable cancer pain.
Last Thursday, Balasingham was admitted to a hospital in London and he underwent few medical tests. Doctors performed a liver biopsy and the results are expected within a week.
Asian Tribune learnt that there is no cure for liver cancer and the only the remotest solution for his survival is a liver transplant.
Whenever he is relieved of pain he is able to speak incoherently and as he is immobile he sits and watches Tamil films in videos. As Balasingham is concerned, according to medical opinion, the affliction of cancer is due to his uncontrolled and excessive alcohol intake.
According to a doctor speaking to Asian Tribune, who wishes that his name should not be disclosed, told that his cancer condition is such that he is not medically considered to have chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery. According to the doctor, it seems that he is now resigned to his fate. The doctor when revealing his medical conclusion said that his ultimate survival is not going to exceed more than a few months.
It is learnt that his immune defense system got impaired due to the many medications he has taken since his kidney transplant in a hospital in Oslo. As Balasingham is under continuous intake of medication according to medical opinion, he should have refrained from excessive alcohol intake, but unfortunately Balasingham continued with his habit of consuming excessive alcohol intake which was evidence during his address in the last heroes? day celebrations held in Alexandra Place, London in November 2005.
At his speech, he had metaphorically mentioned of garlanding V. Anandasangaree, the Leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front, unfortunately fate has spoken so vividly, whereas today he waits to be garlanded in the near future.
