I hate the LTTE for what they are doing to Sri Lanka and Tamils at large.
18 Years ago, I heard this story. An elite unit of Sri Lankan Army commandos rounded up a rebel camp in the deep deep jungles of Vanni. When they were about to start firing at the unsuspecting rebels, they noticed that they are having lunch. So the commander of the unit ordered not to attack and wait till they finish lunch!
18 years down the lane, we are trying to starve them to death! Where have we come to.....
Lets go for war....but let us have the dignity to allow food for even our enemy! (let alone the innocent civilians) because not allowing food is equal to using suicide bombings! Lets not be terrorists! |

Yes, depriving even the enemy of his food supply is unethical. What happens now is largely that the terrorists even capitalize that and don't allow free movement of food and other supplies to Vaharei, Jaffna etc. They don't even let the Tamil civilians leave the places that GOSL cannot send food. LTTE has terrorized the traders in Jaffan as not to sell in their shops the goods that have been sent to Jaffna. AS a result, SLF had to open shops and distribute commodities.
When GOSL requested for UN help for movement of food by sea, UN wanted LTTE's guarantee for the safety of ships and it has been refused by terrorists. LTTE capitalizes this difficult situation to pretend that GOSL is imposing a food/ medicine embargo on Tamils and the so called terrorist-biased SLMM supports to create this scenario openly.
People have forgotten now the days when LTTE was having control over Jaffna, there was no A9 to transport food and the scarcity of food and other commodities were even severe than what it is today. A Tamil friend of mine said he had to pay Rs. 5.00 for a piece of firewood which is barely the length of a ball-point pen! This does't mean the civilians in that part of the country should be put to misery, but their so called saviours are doing a lot to put them into this sorry state of affairs. The IC and the stupid Tamil diaspora don't give a damn to this and want to support the terrorists.

Damayanthi, so in other words you see it as the end of the LTTE because when the LTTE cadres revolt against the 'Maha Kotiya' or the LTTE leadership that spells disaster to the LTTE. Is that correct?

MUST be usaul sla reportmany ltte bodies ahead of FDL .
ltte did accept that sla has occupied 2 school buildings
along vaharai borders at 2 villages.IN last 3 weeks sla has lost nearly 10 attack crafts .THE seas around tamil waters
