There is nothing that could be more ironic than that the 'mighty LTTE' is in fear of its own cardres!
The same thing had happened to Alexander the Great in India, so don't worry, this is the universal consequence of terrorism being used for unjust causes for such long periods!
Here you go, Mr.Brown posted the Singhala punnakku here and Ms. Damaynathi is having a field day! The Singhalese don't realize the support the LTTE fighters have among the Tamils. In this 23 years of war, the Tamil people supported the LTTE fighters with food and water. The Tamils don't differentiate the LTTE fighters and them, because they are 'our boys' and they are our brothers and sisters.
The ordinary Tamils will feed whatever they have to the Tamil freedom fighters to fight the Singhala aggressors, if the Singhalese think this food embargo will hurt the LTTE and they will surrender, then they are not just making grave mistake but they are making fool of themselves.
Didn't the LTTE fighters over run every army camps in the North-East, while the Singhala racists enforced a strict food and Medicine embargo. The Singhalese should not forget that using the food and medicine as the weapon against war is a crime against humanity under the international law.
Serbia's President Milisovic used food as weapon against the people of Bosinia and ended up dead in an empty cell in the Haag. Who knows Mahinda Modabakshe will get the same fate as Milosevic.

in vanni there is plenty of food available. if they say ltte is suffering of fuel, then yes maybe. NOT FOOD.
any way the A9 is opened!

I think you do not know the real TRUTH of Food shortages. The food that goes there are taken over by the SL forces and they sell it from their own shops and putting the money in their pockets!! You do not have to agree or accept it but trust me for once on this. This is from relatives who are living in Jaffna. People are not complaining cos they need food.. if you rem when the Farmers were not given the water the Gosl made the biggest noise and went in and opened the sluice gates. why can't they do the same for the Tamils in the north. It is not cos i am a Tamil, even at that time i wanted the water to be given to the farmers and condemn it cos for me it is about humans and innocent people not about LTTE or the GoSL.
If this happens in south I will be the first to again condemn the Gosl. |

there is no need to give credit to anyone! it would have been opened by force if not open by your people.
the co-chairs meeting today, the gates opened just before the meetings!
we all know what will work with the govt and no doubt the co-chairs have learned the language the govt understand!

No, credit the man - the Chief minister of Tamil Nadu, who pressured the Indian government and remember the Indian government is surviving on his 40 MP's from Tamil Nadu. Mahinda wants to do what the Indian wants, before visting India to beg for their support.
