My point was not the qualification here but Fairplay saying that ,Tamils were not ATLEAST proportionately employed in Govt.institutions.
I wanted to say that it was not true, but they got jobs in the government sector more than the proportion they represented.
Why? They had better education than Singhalese who had been deprived from Western type of education over a period of 400 years by European Colonialism. This is why it is important to know history.

Parskalingam was one of Premadasa's permanent secretaries. There is absolutely nothing to show his superior competence other than he held his Daughter's wedding in Marble Arch London ,inviting 250 guests with 25 sterling car park tickets to each of them . I did not know about this until a Tamil I met told me about it in 1990.
When one nationality had been suppressed for centuries with education where as another nationality of the same country get the privileges for Western type of higher education, it is favoritism in every aspect giving one nationality a kick start ahead of the other and boast to the world that we are smarter than the others. |

| Well done Anandasangaree. As a peace loving Tamil, I beleive that the Tamils in Sri Lanka can't win Eelam by terrorism as the major powers in the world like USA is against terrorism. Eelam could be only won by adopting 'Ahimsa' like Mahatma Gandhi. I think the best person to do this is Anandasangaree not Prabakaran with help of India. I doubt whether India will help it now as Prabakaran made the biggest mistake by killing of Rajiv Gandhi and at the same time I beleive Anandasangaree has major role to play and hope he will. |

Fairplay how did you being a Tamil selected to the Army as an officer Cadet? Is it by qualification ,privilege , or politics?
Hey Buddy Magha,
By god's grace I had the knowledge and qualification to join as a Commissioned Officer, Direct Entry Officer. My services were in need for the Armed forces. hailed from a humble family I had no influence at all to gain any favours anywhere. I am proud of my achievements to this date. From my home to my adopted home.
If these Muslims identify them selves as Signhalese, then how you guys trying to make North and East one Tamil Eelam?
I am only referring to the Muslims that you referred to living in Colobbo claiming 51% Tamil speaking. Those Muslims in NE speaking Tamil never sold their PRIDE. They remain as Tamil Muslims. They may o may not want Tamil Eelam due to their personal cultural/religious affiliations and convictions. nevertheless a sizeable number of them would be comfortable with a solution dawn on them engineered by the Tamils.
