Oh!
No man left behind then! Well, all LTTTE are illiterate. The advantage is it is easy for them to learn the language which is also a disadvantage which is also why Prabakaran take illiterate people to brain wash them with his historic idea! |

It is very good news MR is taking a diffent route to the traitors that rule SL before him. National security comes first always.
The million dolor Q is what MR has in store for the VPs B'day that is different to the how the previous traior leaders behaved on the it.
I prefer a arial bombing on a very important terrorist installtaion of the LTTE or a deep penetration unit attack on a top leader of LTTE. |

HEY YOU kILLER Tamil Net the GOSL has all the write in the world to protect the mother land and national secirity.
The GOSL is a democratic and elected unit by the ppl of the land and not like the terrorist killer group.
All countryes do this including the U.S.A and India to protect National security.
Go tell your Killer terrorist to stop killing and come in to the democratic lines of the nation and bring peace to all. Then the GOSL can reduce spenditure on defance and put the money for the ppl. |

Increased spending for 'Defence', is to make it clear to those who may be in a mood for 'adventurism' - like Norway - that the Govt of Sri Lanka will retain necessary military power to deal with 'whoever' may be in a mood to 'mess around' with its sovereignity. It may not be known to many, for instance, that Norway thought fit to set-up a 1,000-man 'Rapid Intervention' Force (within its armed forces structure), for the fist time in its long history - soon after the collapse of the first Geneva Peace Conference (when Tamilchelvam with some theatrics, walked away from the 'Peace' Table - saying 'they had nothing to discuss with GOSL').
The mission of the Norwegian Rapid Intervention Force was to move (get into position) into 'conflict areas' - by C-130 a'cft or by air-drop - take over airports, and call-in more troops (by air), as may be needed. They were to be specially equipped and trained for this 'mission' - and it was 'spelled out', they may also be required to engage with (control) local, civilians & troops in counter-insurgency type operations. It seemed as if it was 'tailor-made' for intervention in Northern Sri Lanka.
Wars occur mainly due to mis-understandings (or mis-conceptions) between countries (or between countries & desperate rebel organisations viz. former JVP, LTTE ..). Piraba thought GOSL under Ranil will not fight, and so he thought, he could win with 'sacrificial' forces - fighting in a desperate 'suicidal mode' . When the Govt changed, and another more determined leader emerged, he would have noted (if he can think with clarity), that fighting a war with Sri Lanka Govt forces, well organised and led was a daunting task - and victory, only a remote possibility. Govt under the current President is taking necessary steps to re- inforce that 'thinking' in the LTTE leader-ship. It is also serving notice on all those who are 'watching from the sides' , that a 'walk-over' will not be conceded - not to Piraba, nor to those who may be in collusion with him.
