How long this `Convenience Facilitator Agreement` (CFA) should be allowed to torment this Island nation?

It is now almost 5 years since Norwegian-LTTE conspired Ranil-Prabha -so-called-Cease Fire Agreement was singed in Feb 2002. Today it has not only become the bone of contention between the Sri Lankan Government and the LTTE but it has also come to stay as the main weapon used against the legitimacy of the Sri Lankan government to defend its territory and the very sovereignty of the motherland and its right to protect its citizens from being killed by a brutal pack of savage murderers, by the so-called International Agencies.
The agreement was named as the `Cease Fire Agreement` But where and when has it ceased the fire, neither, on the land nor in the hearts of thousands of people who are impatiently craving for it? There is no disagreement now that the CFA has failed miserably to realize its first objective- that is to cease firing.
Nevertheless, I don`t think we should worry over it too much because the CFA in fact, was never meant to cease the fire either, by its architects. Their agenda was something entirely different. As every man with an atom of brain would concede it was craftily designed by the Norwegians only to facilitate the LTTE to build up its lost military and manpower strength to fight the Sri Lanka government and thereby they undermined the sovereignty of this Island nation. I consider this as a classic example of another western political intrigue employed to destabilize this nation, using the Machiavellian concept of destabilize and destroy an enemy state.
Firstly, as I said before it was solely meant to facilitate the LTTE to enable them to establish the EELAM ? a shadow State of the Western Church- and Secondly, to consolidate the neo-colonial Norwegian geo-political and economic interests in South East Asia (oil and natural gas deposits supposed to be found in the north and the east of Sri Lanka and other resources like the ilmenite and phosphate deposits), in return to the facilities so lavishly they provide for the LTTE to carve out their so-called `Tamil Homeland` (rather the Tamil Christian State) and finally to destroy the much envied Sri Lankan Sinhala Buddhist (also the Tamil Hindu identity in Sri Lanka) identity from the surface of this earth, to me, appear to be the tragic finale of this neo-colonial conspiracy.
The fact that the Norwegian has kept mum when the LTTE was violating the CFA over 3000 times with impunity since it was singed, the continued support they rendered to the LTTE by way of money, military and other equipment, arrangement of regular sojourns in Europe (to collect funds, image building and spread their mischievous disinformation net) while putting pressure on the Sri Lankan government through the Co- Chairs and the International Community and trying to get the sympathy of the Indian government for the LTTE cause, to name only few, are enough proof to hold this argument. This is why I think it is more appropriate to call it `The Convenience Facilitator Agreement` rather than decorating it with a cozy cosmetic like the `Cease Fire Agreement.` The LTTE use this agreement not only against the Sri Lankan government but also to destroy all others who stand on their way to EELAM including all Tamils, especially, Hindu Tamils and all those who prefer a democratic way of life. Therefore it is not only a threat to Sri Lanka and India in particular but also to the political stability of the whole of the South East Asian region.
The Ranil-Prabha CFA, as far as its outwardly implied purpose is concerned, is now for all intent and purposes, redundant and therefore I do not think it serves any useful purpose to hang onto it as an instrument of Cease Fire Agreement in the peace process. The more you keep it the more damage it will bring to the country at large. The only foreseeable outcome of its continuance is the enormous benefit the LTTE will harvest. So, as it is even if we continue with this CFA for another 100 years it will never serve its rather ostensible purpose of cease fire or peace. It will only further strengthen the LTTE outfit. Today it is only an instrument of accusation used against the government both by the LTTE and the International Community. The enormous volume of accusations and the reprimands leveled against the government has clearly established this argument.
It is now well known that the CFA was an illegitimate child of dirty Sri Lankan politics with both national and international conspiracies and intrigue behind it. No one protested when it was singed between Prabhakaran and the then Prime Minister Ranil (who was not the Head of the Government and therefore was not the proper authority to enter in to such important agreements) who could not give legality to such an agreement. (As the late President Premadasa once said Prime Minister under the present constitution is only an office peon). So obviously an agreement singed between an office peon on behalf of an organization and another party has no legal status. Nor such document is binding either on the organization to which the peon belongs. Nevertheless he singed it.
If Ranil was honoust and serious in purpose he should have either got the President to sing it or at least got her concurrence as the head of the state, before he subscribed his signature and then signed on behalf of the President.
Even today if the JVP or some one else go to courts as they did in the case of the North and East merger, invariably it will be declared null and void. Surely Ranil being a lawyer would have known it, but it may be that he wanted to undercut Chandrikka, knowing very well that she will not dare to oppose it even if she knew that Ranil is not the authority to sing it. (As her position itself was politically unstable at hat time) However she cannot escape the allegation that she was also an accomplice to this conspiracy and treachery.
Apart from not discussing it with the head of the state Ranil did not discuss it even with his own cabinet. This sums up the character and the statesmanship of these two characters, which were entrusted with the destiny of this country by the innocent people driven by blind party politics. The LTTE probably knew about this legal snatch but what hey wanted to do is to get some kind of document to hang on. In spite of its inherent legal flaws the peculiarity about this document is that it got practically all what the LTTE wanted.
For example they got the `LTTE country` named on paper as ?LTTE controlled area?, they got government committed to disarm all the other paramilitary outfits opposed tot them, they got permission to travel all over the country with weapons in hand, they also got access to government controlled areas so that they could infiltrate the whole Island with their spies and suicide cadre, they also got facilities of using Sri Lankan army choppers to travel about with VIP status, got the privilege of meeting all international representatives and Ambassadors in the wanni with diplomatic status, also the golden chance to impress and give hope for the foolish Tamil Diaspora all over the world who think that this illiterate pack of murderers can find the door to their `Promised Land`
In other words this document got the Government Forces back in to barracks, got the A-9 opened for them to collect nearly 1 million a day, also got the Long Range Operation division of the government dismantled and destroyed with the help of the Ranil government and also got all gates wide opened for them to actively engage in their nefarious activities both at home and abroad killing all whom they wanted to kill with impunity. What the Ranil-Prabha CFA in fact did was` to put the government behind bars while opening all the gates wide open for the LTTE to commit all its heinous crimes.
So now you see as to why the LTTE and the International `Democratic` Community who have declared total war against global terrorism (except in Sri Lanka), is making such a big fuss about the imminent danger of the government declaring the CFA null and void?
So obviously it was only a matter of marking time to build up their lost military strength. Secondly to consolidate their claim to the east and north as one territory and Tamil Home Land as it was laid down by the Indo-Sri Lanka agreement of 1987. Thirdly to get international recognition and perhaps legitimacy to the area claimed by them. Fourthly to have access to international fora through this so that they could carry out their diabolical disinformation network freely and openly under the guise of attending peace negotiations with the government.
Knowingly or unknowingly Ranil subscribed to this traitorous conspiracy. Chandrikka also kept silent. Had she said no, that would have been the end of this treacherous document? Even after signing if she hade said that Ranil has no authority to sign it that would have been the end of the agreement. But she also did not do that. There by both of them became a party to this treacherous act. Of cause one could not have expected anything more than that from both of them as both represented the same interest groups alien to the national interests of the country.
So now the only way out of this Norway brokered Ranil-Prabha kotiwaligaya that has completely crippled and inactivated the government of Sri Lanka and brought so much of misery for the Lankan nation, is for the government to shun this dam document and tell the whole world that there is no point in sticking on to this treacherous and monstrous agreement any longer as it is destined to bring political instability and disaster to the whole region. Consider it as already defunct, dead and buried. Thereafter go all out starting from the Prabha (if he is still live under the Mulativu bunker) ? Tamil Chelvam-Pulidevan trio without beating about the bush and eradicate this LTTE menace from this country so that every one, irrespective of his being Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim or any other could live in peace and harmony as one human family. Once that is completed the Norwegian conspirators, the International Community, NGO, INGO, the pro-LTTE press who subsist on their blood money and the so-called Human right peace mongers can sleep in peace as they will have no subject to demonstrate against, on the streets.
