Government did propose an alternative but ltte refuse it

Saint bro that was jsut government eyewash for the IC, but they -removed-ed it up by shelling the SLMM head when he went to check out the 'alternative' anyone could see that you could do nothing with that road and there wasn't even a ferry. So should people in Jaffna starve and be held prisoner for months while it was repaired? The government made a request that they knew could not be accepted hoping to point a finger at the LTTE, but as I said it backfired when they didn't communicate properly with their troops and they shelled the SLMM.

Tigress19,

unfortunately they never read but signed all of them!

You are correct. Many people do things without knowing significance or after-effects - no foresight. This is a very unfortunate situation, because those who know keep quite while letting others to run the show.

I will suggest a better idea for the dum politicians who are so much worried about A9 route.
You can make a alternate route in the coastal area through the sea, no need to afraid for the Tigers, only you have to worry about the sharks. But consult with the tsunami monitoring mission, even though if there is tsunami you can make some money out of that...
The people are talking about 'Kapam'in A9 route.. 15 police were arrested in colombo for taking bribe... what you call this... This is not 'Kapam' is it called something? remember much more 'Kapam' fellows in the other route, you can only see mouse, rather you close your eyes when the elephant is passing?
Mr.Rambukwelle please think before you give some press news, just don't talk like a parrot. Sometime use your mind also..If you have..Ha..Ha.. otherwise one day you will be force out to sell Rambutan......
Close the A-9 route, but when you show some green notes to the police men who are standing there, they will open the A9 Upto Z9, remember the past history of the Sri Lankan Police.....

A-9 is the only staright route that connects South to North. Moreover opening of A-9 was agreed in the CFA. How can a GoSL insist that LTTE violates that agreement both parties signed in good faith?
