Pirapaharan confers Maamanithar (Great Humanbeing) award to Raviraj

Slain TNA parliamentarian Nadaraja Raviraj has joined the ranks of Maamanithar (Great Human being). Raviraj is the third politician given the title by LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. Assassinated All Ceylon Tamil Congress leader Kumar Ponnambalam and veteran TULF politician Joseph PararaJasingham were previously bestowed the title by the LTTE leader. Both Ponnambalam and Pararajasingham were killed in Colombo and Batticaloa respectively during Chandrika Kumaratunga`s tenure as the President.
`As a parliamentarian he worked tirelessly for the Tamil nation... He shattered the false propaganda of the Sinhala state infusing his arguments with his legal expertise. He stood firm and fought injustice in the face of threats from paramilitary violence,` Prabhakaran said in the statement conferring the award.
Pro-LTTE Tamilnet quoted Prabhakaran as saying, ` Nadaraja Raviraj is a great man. He possessed rare characteristics. He is not the one to be pushed and pulled around for personal gains. He had a deep affection for the Tamil homeland and its people. He is an exceptional politician. He understood law and justice in its true sense. He possessed a progressive spirit and a desire to follow novel approaches. He was brave and he possessed a purity of heart. His youthful energy with all of the above stole the hearts of all who came in contact with him.`
`As a parliamentarian he worked tirelessly for the Tamil nation. He spoke loudly to the world about the Sinhala Buddhist chauvinistic state terror. He shattered the false propaganda of the Sinhala state infusing his arguments with his legal expertise. He stood firm and fought injustice in the face of threats from paramilitary violence.`

Yes i think the MAn has earned it. i saw the video and his Sinhala was excellent. A big LOss for the tamils.

Mamanithar is now like indian BA or MA!
Indian BA and MA, every one get so does Mamanithar.
What is the truth of the story that LTTE killed Raviraj because he criticised Velu and before the killing they got the consent of Sampanthan ?.

Mr Raviraj may have been all that but he made the deadly mistake of critisizing Velu. |

As i said earliar i dont think the GOSL (core) did it since it serves no purpose. But this is what happens when ytou have ententions tomyour left and right and these extentions (EPDP/KAruna) also have their OWN agendas since they are also fighting to survive.
if there is PEACE between the LTTE and GOSL then Its BUSINESS closed for these clowns!
Please get real. It will be BUSINESS closed for LTTE too. |

Tamil Nadu is the true homeland of the Tamils, and not the North & East of Sri Lanka as they claim. Is the plan to move 60 million Tamils from Tamil Nadu to North & East of Sri Lanka? Please get real.
Maybe its time the Indian political whores like Karunanidhi and Vaiko agitated India for a seperate country/State in Tamil Nadu. They are all happy to live in one India and bully the people & the democratically elected government of Sri Lanka. The Indian PM seconds everything these whores say just to hold on to his slim coalition and be in power. That makes him a political whore too. Its time India allowed Tamil Nadu to create their own country. Dont you think???? |
