Killing of any MPs is not going to solve the issue. This shows the cowardice of the killers whoever that carried out.
I have watched 'Thulawa' the political programme/discussion on Tele in SL and have seen this chap, who is quite well mannered and nice. Killing him is a truly sad cowardice act.
I have to agree with HGB those who die early have been useful/charismatic people. To mention a few 'Chopin', Checkov' and van Gogh. |

Raviraj was talking in broken sinhala.
It does not matter broken or not.
GOSL President as well as his cabinet must be able to address both in Sinhala and tamil.
That will make a big difference. |

It is only cowards who would take the life of a Politician who had taken a democratic path what ever his or her political vision is.

By analyzing comment written by both parties, Pro LTTE and anti LTTE it is not difficult to understand who killed this veteran politician.
All anti LTTE comments here expresses sorrow and condemn the assassination. no one tries to say he was a tiger proxy or comments against him. But all tiger supporters instead of showing sadness or sympathy try to get the maximum advantage out of his death by directly accusing GOSL and Sinhalese.
Those who say he was shot at close to a military barrack should understand that terrorists tried to kill Army chief being in side the army HQ. |

Most of the singhalese Love this man...
He comes on the Singhala political discussion ' THULAWA' in ITN and he speaks of his community to the singhalese.
He is not an extreemist. He believed in a single country solution and he had deep respect to Singhala aspirations too.
