Is it true that he was critical of the LTTE also? Even though he aligned with the TNA? Anyone knows the truth?
May his soul rest in peace and next birth if he wants to do good to his people, may him given the proper opportunity, the background and environments to fulfill his dreams for humanity! |

Hashini,
Is it true that he was critical of the LTTE also? Even though he aligned with the TNA?
He was one of the more open TNA MPs in the TNA parliamentery group. He was critical of child soldiering of the LTTE. He was there among the Sinhalese MPs who were against war (people like Vasudeva etc.). This clearly shows he was an easy target for extremism. Have you heard the term Back benchers? They are the politicians who would even be critical on their own parties wrong steps. He was a kind of a Back bencher.
I am not surprised that LTTE took his life just to incite all the troubles as possible also to warn the TNA that they are under scrutiny if they don't obey LTTE terroism. If TNA puppets had someone who was not so puppetry then that man's life was taken. This is how the terrorism work. Its sad but its true.

| Pretty sad to see that ppl are unable to accept verbal thrashing from great individuals. I am referring to both sides! We had Kadirgamar and now him. Both Tamils. Both good! |

Who benefited from this heinous crime at this critical moment at the face of IC?
LTTE or GOSL? Look at the inside picture carefully not the out side.
This tamil politician used to be -an out of the line- from the -tiger methodology-.
Even in this interview he said there are bad guys in both sides and he is an outspoken young politician who talked against a divided country, which is totally against the tigers dream.
Sri Lankan Govt should establish culprits with international support and show the world the real barbarianism of LTTE.
Read this recent news item to get a clue what a moderate politician he was and why he was killed.
Depriving water supply for Mawilaru community unreasonable ? Nadarajah Raviraj
06th August 2006 -11:20 S.L.T TNA Parliamentarian Mr Nadarajah Raviraj says that he does not approve depriving water supply to the civilians at Mawilaru. In an interview with a week-end paper Mr Raviraj has said that although there a few Wanni Tiger members in Mullaittivu majority are -mad cats-. He is of the view that Sri Lanka should be developed without dividing. He also says that the country should be developed Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslims together.

My sympathies, he was a pleasant guy.
I liked the way he spoke Sinhalese language. He was very funny sometimes. As a Sinhalese he was one of the few Tamil politicians I liked most.
Who ever done this heinous act should be hung to death. I mean who ever, no matter his race or power or status.
For me, my suspicion is leaning towards LTTE. |

Lasanthak,
For me, my suspicion is leaning towards LTTE.
You start well then your usual warped, mischief making thinking had taken control of you.
Why are you not saying that the refugee camp too was attacked by LTTE and why should the GOSL foolishly own such crime?
As long as this distorted thinking is there the country simply has no salvation. |

I have seen him a few times on TV, a very articulate guy who brought substance to a debate; a type so rare in SL. A sad loss to SL, especially in today's climate. Sympathies to his family.

My suspicion starts at the point of the killers escaping:
It happened close to military police HQ.
Colombo is on Red alert for the last week.
It happened in day light.
Weapon used is the preferred weapon of the military. |
