In an interview with a week-end paper Mr Raviraj has said that although there a few Wanni Tiger members in Mullaittivu majority are ?mad cats?.
He is of the view that Sri Lanka should be developed without dividing. He also says that the country should be developed Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslims together.

Frederica Jansz in Colombo, 9.25 a.m. SLT Saturday December 9. The Acting Mayor for Jaffna, Nadarajah Raviraj, claims that his life is under threat from the LTTE and that he has received more than one death threat from the Tiger group. Raviraj, a member of the moderate Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) is unable to function in the full capacity of Mayor for Jaffna after the LTTE assassinated two Mayors in 1998, both of whom were members of the TULF.
