We will kill more Tamil and Muslim civilians - The Govt. spoksman.
'While we regret this whole episode, we also must say that national security is uppermost in our minds,' he told reporters.

'Actions by the defence authorities were something that was inevitable.'

Government defence spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella told the AFP news agency that the military had targeted two Tamil Tiger artillery positions in Wednesday's attack, but conceded a civilian centre had also been hit.

'While we regret this whole episode, we also must say that national security is uppermost in our minds,' he told reporters.

He should have said:

'that the military had targeted two Tamil Tiger artillery positions but we did not know where they were so we hit two schools that was filled with refugees who are diplaced by the recent clashes
We do not see the difference between LTTE and the Tamil civilians.'

Vampire,

Nada when one of us said 'Kill them' you come out saying that 'he is a mentally sick guy'.

I could never say kill some one, even if some one is an enemy but worst when some encourages the killing of civilains.

But if you talk of Tamils contributing to LTTE then please understand my pal, it is not at all to kill or harm the Sinhalese people but to carry on with the war. Certainly there is a war and no one can deny that and it needs funds.

Have I ever encouraged or praised any one talking of killing the civilians be they Tamils or Sinhalese, never.

On the other hand when the victims were LTTE or military then there is no choice because it is a war and soldiers and fighters have to die.

Again I will never ever support any one talking of ill treating the captives. To my knowledge LTTE had never ill treated the captives but I know the military have tortured many to extract informations.

So please misunderstand my position vampiere and don't misquote me.

The survivors tell SLMM that LTTE did not fire from the school where they sought refuge.
LTTE didn?t fire from camp: Survivors
The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission said yesterday there were no signs of the existence of an LTTE military camp in the vicinity of the two schools which came under attack from Government troops on Wednesday. SLMM acting spokeswoman Helen Olafsdottir told the Daily Mirror the monitors had interviewed some of the survivors of the incident and so far no one had provided evidence to suggest the presence of a rebel military camp in the area

Yohanram,

Your children and family will be very proud of you.

In deed they will be proud of that and you need not mention that. In the post independance period they have been doing this since 1956 without any shame or remorse. These acts earned them the name Sinhala Veerayas.

In history they start with the man eating Lion and the killing of the Lion father by son. Then marriage beween brother and sister, then father getting rid of the aimless, violent son Vijaya in a boat. Then this son cheats Kuveni, made her his cohort and then kill her to capture the land.

And the history continues with un ending tales of violence, cheating, double crossing and murders.

King Kasyappa was entombed by the Son. King Duttegemunu, who was a young man, unethically accepted the challenge from King Elara who was more than 70 years old and proudly killed him. But the Tamil King had the honour of fighting it himself instead of sacrificing the troups.

So there is a historical defect, historical violence and historical dishonour.

Naturally they form excellent bed time stories.Whether one could be proud about such stories, I am not certain.
