Sinhala Flag or Sri Lankan Flag
Fairplay:
Flag cannot become a pure singhala by any means.
Sri Lankan flag is Sinhala Buddhist flag - Full Stop!
Small green and orange bands were added to calm down minorities opposition for newly adopted national flag and satisfied the Sinhalese chauvinist powers in the country. They had made those bands as small as possible. Further they added more Sinahala symbols to cement their claim that they are masters of the pathetic country.
Lion - Sinhalese domination
Large Red band - Sinhalese domination
Four leaves of the pipul tree - Sinhala Buddhism
This is a masters' flag that was brought upon Tamils without their consent. We don't want to salute this pathetic flag and worship it. Better to burn it!

Insert a buffalo's head instead of the Lion's.
However, kiritharan will be happy if he can see piribakaran's a*s in this flag. It is the sole representative of poor Tamils in Sri Lanka....!! Edited By - antiTerra - 6 Nov 2006 12:02:03 GMT |

Sri,
Better to burn it!
Cannot tolerate the lion flag so why not look into tiger flag instead and take them with you to Tamil Nadu to save the embarassment. We really do not mind Sri as it saves both time and money. Beside 'We tamils' should be in tamil homeland which is Tamil Nadu I believe. Enjoy the Madras Railways!!

We have given you some identity in this flag
Thank You...Masters...Thank You!
I appreciate that our Glorious 'Masters' managed to throw a bone toward us. Tamils lick your boots for ever and kiss your arses for giving us 'Orange' identity (what ever that is)! |

Indeed. In fact the best part of my flag is the Lion standing proudly in front of the two stripes with the sword as if though to tell who is the boss here.
I love my flag.

I thought that Your 'Lion' is pissing by raising its front leg contradict to the popular belief that lion raises its hind leg when performing its primary duty. Edited By - Sritharan - 6 Nov 2006 14:42:58 GMT |

WOW!!
Why don't you come up with a flag that is acceptable to the Tamils without complaining.
BTW do you think the LTTE flag depicted representation of all communities? |

Yes, this flag was designed without the consent of the Gunasekara family too. And we are very upset about it. because if they had asked for our consent we would have recomended not one sword but two in both hands of the Lion and the Lion in a standing pose with both swords. |

Mmm...I don't like that idea Ruwani. It would look like that your 'Lion' could have escaped from circus - I don't want to refer Sinhalese as 'circus' peoples, do I - May be. |
