Manufacturer's website says:
Welcome to Transmec Engineering Pte Ltd official webpage.
Our site is currently under construction, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Please come back at a later time for more updates.
Micro cars' owner's manual could say:
Welcome to Micro 800 mini-car's owner's manual.
Our user manual currently contains engine's and gear box's instructions in Italian, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Please buy another 'Micro' car next year for a updated owner's manual. Edited By - Sritharan - 2 Nov 2006 21:13:07 GMT |

What is the price - Cheap
cababilities depending on the model.
First does not come with the model standing in front of the car. Take a cold bath.
Will take you from point A to B.
Enough room to pack explosives.
Small and tested on SL roads could reach targets better than white vans. |

I am not trying to advertise this. It's a local product and we all should be proud, so here goes.
They come with a 25,000 km or 4 year warrenty. (bumper to bumper). Pricing starts at Rs 5 lakhs. They export them to several south asian countries now. Production chain has grown a lot since 2001 and no long waiting lines to get them now. In 2001, these cars had water leaks! in the rain (didn't come with umbrellas). Official site is http://www.microcars.lk (Not very useful yet)

Well done Sri Lankan! Excellent job!!
Micro car made in Sri Lanka. Holly cow! :)
It sounds like some expatriates are really jealous of this proud innovation. Only thing I have to say for them is 'grow up'.
Sri Lanka is better off without these cheap morons. |

Sritharan and Jaguar havent found anything constructive to say. rather sound frustrated
i think we all should be proud of products such as this and should thank 'lanka'newspapers for appreciating this and showing it to all.
May be ELAM tigers will advertise a pregnant suicide woman if they had a product exhibition.
off to bed good nite. |
