Revy, I thought Indian Tamils (as you call them) are also included under the definition 'WE TAMILS' and you call Sinhalese racists.

Revy:
This tamil kingdom is not very old and didn't last long. The inhabitants were mostly chola invaders who chose to settle there according to the article. And, English didn't unite it. But portugese killed the king and ended the kingdom. There wasn't anything during the english time.
Maybe you should have a read, this is a trusted source for you guys right?
http://www.lankalibrary.com/geo/portu2.htm
Some highlights:
Meanwhile a Portuguese expedition to Jaffna in 1560 had no lasting success. A second invasion of 1591, undertaken at the instigation of Christian missionaries, succeeded in installing a Portuguese protégé. Continued unrest and succession disputes made the Portuguese undertake a third expedition, and the kingdom of Jaffna was annexed in 1619.
The portugeuse did indeed maintain the kingdom with their proxy in place, so you could say it was a kingless kingdom, whatever you want to call it you are playing with semantics here, the fact of the matter is that Tamils have lived on the island continuosly far longer than Europeans have lived in North America or Australia, thus they have much more claim to equal treatment than those Europeans have claim to nations of their own in either continent. |

Lets me address this lies buisness.
The LTTE cannot afford to LIE since a lot of their supporters are OUTSIDE and have ways of finding out. most of the sinhales probably dont care whether the GOVT is telling the truth or not BUT we do care about the LTTE because we have relatives there and their lives depends on the LTTE giving us a true BIG picture. PLUS the LTTE needs the DIASPORA (NOt for funds i may add) if and when a UDI is declarted. tamilnet started operating possibly 10 yrs ago maybe and i have visited it pretty much everyday (90% in a calendar yr maybe.) we followed the was from jeyasikuru all the way aghni gheela to KIA and thats proably when a lot of sinhala folks started to take an interest. the reporting was done with excellent details and maps. i even wondered whether they were giving away too much :):)
i wont comment about the govt since its pointless from MY POV!
Will there be elections? You will eventually have to go into a sort of democracy right? Would other nationalities be allowed to settle down there? And eventually will they be allowed representation in the Eelam parliment? I am only being half sarcastic. I do have a curiosity as to how you pro eelamists see your nation.
yes democracy will return once the kinks are all worked out. I think a singapore style democracy is what will happen in the initial yrs and I think thats the BEST. anyone can settle down. I have seen how tamils came here 10-15 yrs ago and how they have improved their lives. this war is also a rebellion against bad governance (A point rasied by HGB!) |

Revy,
Come one ML, so who's running those countries?
Certainly not WE ENGLISH:):):):)
The natives and the aboriginies? right, I use homeland or nation interchangeably
You can interchange....Abogines and Red Indians were a small populace in huge lands.....you can't apply that to NE....and English never tried to chase away Irish from their land like your guys did to Sinahlese/Muslims in NE!!!

I am not sure, why the international meida and others are telling lies as SLA.
See this
http://sankathi.org/news/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1097&Itemid=1
LTTE dont worry about the international. we all see what they are talking, they only listen to this idiot sL government.
Ltte need to start killing sinhales who is siting inside the aC room. They dont care about the poor sinhales who are going to die in the fornt line as well as tamils.
I hope that sinahale governement only stop kiling tamils. if LTTE killed more than 1000 sinhales in colombo.
Instead of fighting in North and east, it is better to kill more in colombo, Kandy, anurathapuram
Go a head our boys. we don't want our people die everyday by this State terror |

Not surprisingly the racial hatered of 'We Tamils' superiority complex continues. The typical racist view keep hammering down the plain like a big thud. Your, country, your people, our country, our people. What's more yours and ours? The inventory continues I guess.
Now I'm the racist for stating facts? What about that fool who told us to go back to Tamil nadu? great patriot right? Get a clue JRJ. |

I do not know whether Shakti is around. He has put some interesting figures in a thread with LTTE yearly budget and question the contribution.
Shakti any idea about the source. |
