Reading material to revy

From 400 AD onwards, military campaigns by rulers from South India and Orissa (then known as Kalinga Desa) counter-attacks by the Singhalese Buddhists rulers from the Sri Lankan interior, heralded a period of great turmoil wherein the Hindu Tamils and the Buddhist Singhalese would struggle for territorial control and supremacy. In 1017, Rajaraja Chola annexes Lanka to India but the Sinhalese ousts the Cholas again in 1070. In 1200, South Indians briefly rule Lanka once again.

In time, a form of bloody stalemate was reached wherein Tamils began to get firmly established in the Northern and Eastern areas, with the Singhalese inhabiting the South and Central regions. This period also saw the establishment of an indigenous Tamil kingdom centered around Jaffna, in 1400.

Revy,
Why don't YOU go learn some history instead of barking like a lunatic, the Portugeuse ruled the Island as they found it, with three kingdoms, the Tamil one in the NE and the two Sinhala ones in the South and Centre. The came the British and put it all together.

So would the 'tamil nation' in essence be a kingdom, ruled by his highness Velu the 1st? Just kidding man, but seriously, how would the eelam nation operate? Will there be elections? You will eventually have to go into a sort of democracy right? Would other nationalities be allowed to settle down there? And eventually will they be allowed representation in the Eelam parliment? I am only being half sarcastic. I do have a curiosity as to how you pro eelamists see your nation. I mean after the war to win this homeland is done, you have to settle down to do the nation building thing right? So how would you go about doing that?

JRJ:

On the contrary why would 16 bombs would be wasted to kill 5 innocent lives? this is something I don't get at. Its either Tamilnet is lying or there is something radically gone wrong somewhere. Please shed your thoughts on this.

I have no idea about all this. But what I know is when GOSL flash bombs here and there from the air such questions erupt on both communities. People start arguing back and forth and after a while our nation irrespective of race start logical assessments of the death with no deep sympathy towards the situation.
Today it has happen to every race in SL - such is the hatred.
How did thishappen? If this happened then that won't make sense? 10 Army soldiers for 30 LTTE are good numbers? I mean look at where we are heading as people?

Don't talk about tamil history in Sri Lanka... you wouldn't like it.

mass quantities of tamils were brought to Sri Lanka to clean the sh!t of british and dutch and also to carry out the tea plantation related labour work

you should forever be thankful to sinhalese for letting you stay in sri lanka after the british left the country...

do not forget the history... your brand parents were imported slaves in sri lanka (just like the negros from africa)

now you are all grown up, learned some english think you are superior to sinhalese... IN YOUR DREAMS

Yes why thank you for backing my arguments then.

1400, lets see, that is Older than the United States and Australia, gee guess WE TAMILS have more claim to a homeland than those Aussies or Americans eh? LOL.

Revy,

ananda95 just take a look through events over the conflict, you tell me who was lying and who was telling the truth, here's a hint: The government ALWAYS lies.

Where is your brain?

So whatever said and done by the LTTE has to be the gospel truth.

Now, her's the hint: The tamilnet always clamours in TRUTH.

Is that accepted my friend?

The answer to all your questions are already in the ISGA in one for or the other, have you ever read it?

Revy, nice to see that you are not disagreeing on the fact that lier net lies too. Obviously both parties give out false information for their benefit.

Where ever my brain is that tells me some of these are utter lies even when GOSL gives out some information. My question is as people with some sort of brain how come you people are not recognizing the lies stated by liernet.

So is this what standardization has done the Sri Lankan education? You churn our imbeciles like this one, what a shame.

How old are you man? You sound like a 12 year old who hasn?t studied any history.

There are two distinct groups of Tamils the ones you mention are the Indian Tamils brought over several generations ago, and if not for them your country would have been nothing, what was the only purpose of your country to anyone at the time? That?s right TEA and who plucked the tea leaves? That?s right those Indian Tamils.

As for WE TAMILS that is us who have been on the island just as long as the Sinhala, the Island is equally our home as it is yours, we are going to beat that into the thick heads of racists like you, only sadly your better fellows are also going to suffer in the process.
