Most (not all) of the above you mentioned won't exist if there is no war. Besides, those countries won't let anything like LTTE go unpunished. Besides, people in other countries know that they will be stronger if they stick together. True LTTE, JVP and other terrorist organizations were results of past failed policies. But, what happened already happened and we can't change. Only thing we can change is the future. If we have a good economy, LTTE or JVP or any other such organization cannot even recruit because people have enough things to do. It is a vicious cycle and someone has to break it.

?A de-merger and concerted economic development in the east are probably the most effective way to isolate the Tamil Tigers and to make them understand once and for all that they never were and never will be the sole representatives of the Tamil people and that violence will only ostracize them further among the global community?

The world knows who is starting what.

It all depends on what you read. If you have the blinders and read only what they want you to read, sure. All the others are gullible except you.

Yes but the government doesn't seem to get it, they don't even allow what success the south enjoys to be available in the north.

Oh forgot about this, so what are they doing in the mid east? Are they going after only AQ and Taliban or are they collectively punishing the entire muslim population? You see even in such cases these nations act with maturity, they feed and care for the civilian population and when abuses or accidents happen they own up to it actually investigate and punish those responsible, nothing like Sri Lanka.

I do not condone Ariel bombardment. Mostly it is going to be the innocent civilians. If it falls even feets away from a child the impact is huge. The death is inevitable. More I work, read and hear about this war - the new progress of the war shows a wrong path taken by the GOSL. In order to win this war the LTTE has to win the hearts of the rest of the community but the responsibility that falls upon GOSL in fact far more exceeds that of LTTE. GOSL is a democratically elected government that rules the country. They need to win the hearts of the Tamils not only that of the ones who reside in North-East or the South of SL but the whole tamil dispora.
Such ariel bombardment and death of innocent civilians whether falsely or truly reported by LTTE will only fuel more emotional hatred upon tamils to the rest of the island and particularly the sinhala community.
Any visionless acts like this will only cause more widen gaps for the hope of peace than anything else. Tamils who restraint and say they do not condone LTTE killing innocent civilians but support the LTTE freedom struggle will take notice of such acts with hate and disgust. By bombing such positions close to hospitals etc GOSL is actually inviting LTTE to start committing suicide attacks even if it means innocent bystanders in the south and tamils will turn a blind eye towards such actions conducted by LTTE.
These mentally retarded actions taken by our leaders will only cause deep hatred upon each other!
