Nada,

The Indian reporter who wrote this article does not know that even long before these conflicts started the Sinhala government always wanted to separate the Tamils both from internally and externally.

This is true partially, but I am not sure how much and whether this was intentional.

IF it were true and IF it were intentional (for 58 years after independence) it is one of the greatest mistakes Sinhalese have ever done.

Economically distancing N&E from the rest of the island is similar to carving the two provinces and offering them in a gold plate.

This is something Sinhalese governments should have prevented at any cost. But as usual they were not that brainy.

For those who think LTTE made and maintains that road... Err.. nope thats not true.. Most civilian infrastructure is built by GOSL with foreign help!

For those who think Roads in SL r horrible, try travelling to dambulla or kataragama or Puttalam from Colombo!

Nice capture! But Sad memories and in the other side a road of hope, hope for civilians to gain their civilians rights to live in peace and normality, and also hope for ltte to collect money for their needs, hope for diaspora also, when ltte get enough money from A9 diaspora can save their own money but now they have to pay more, also hope for tro, when A9 opened then tro can spent most of their collects for civilian matters, now they have to pay ltte.
So i think opening A9 will help civilians.

And I also think from muhamalai to Omanthai is TAMIL ONLY, if you can't speak and read Tamil you are lost in those areas. Is it discrimination? isn't it Racist?

Any way I hope A9 will be reopened soon and Ltte will respect civilian rights and won't collect money from travelers and transporters.

Lakhada ,
a typical sinhalese mind reflect in your comment.

Negombo airport road was the best one I saw in SL in 90.
raves,
Use T.R.O funds and Repair it.....

as i always say sinhalese are born thiefs, they always wanted to stell from tamils.
when Gale is attacked they went to broke and ransack all tamils shops.( jewelry)
when 6 soldiers killed they broke all tamil homes and stell money, jewlry and electrical goods. and broke all tamil shops and stell .
60,000 army in jaffna everyday steeling from shops, houses , in jaffna no shops stocks much because army steel them everyday. and in houses sinhala army and police go into houses they stole everything in the houses.

army and police have stole over 20,000 mobiles from tamils in jaffna.
i was thinking to take a laptop on my recent visit , the people there told me if the army knew they had a laptop or computer army or police will come to do house serch and steel them.
all these army are come from poor background and they have sinhalese blood( thief, steelings, and all crimes)

anyway

Lakhada why dont you donate some funds to build that road?
or ask your government to reduce the defence spending or curruption and put that road?
why TRO , we fund TRO to help our fellow tamils who are suffering today like we did suffer 20 years ago.
TRO is the only organisation help people in conflict part of the island.
when we send lots of things after tsunami most of the things are stolen by JVP and diverted to south.

why you sinhalese have thins mind always wanted to steel or grab something from tamil??

today 99% sinhalese who are rich all stole money from tamils.

Lancer the dremer. i had travelled to srilanka within the 6 months.
i had gone to kilinochi, jaffna, trincomalee and other part of the country.

LTTE control area is the best place no guns and smiling people.
you are right south is developed while noth is completly distroyed.
it is fully militerised crimes commited by militery is main problem faced by those people. security forces are the security problem there.
if those army there walk on the strret without those guns those pople will burn those criminals alive.
