'Much like 9-11 and the London Subway bombings, yesterday's attack in Sri Lanka is a reminder that the brutal forces of terrorism are committed to waging their cowardly war against peace and democracy across the globe,' said Congressman Vito Fossella, issuing a statement condemning the Suicide bombing of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) at Habarana, killing over 98 people using a suicide bombing ramming an explosive laden truck into buses taking unarmed navy personnel going on home leave. |

Congressman Fossella further said, 'I join the U.S. State Department in condemning yesterday's terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka. My deepest sympathies go out to President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Sri Lankan people, especially the families who lost loved ones in this vicious act of terrorism. It is shameful this cowardly attack was unleashed on innocent Sri Lankans only days before peace talks were scheduled to begin. |

His highness want to weaken SRI LANKA to the parity with the LTTE scum so that the destruction is total in case of war. The vulture is waiting to grab the remains after the carnage.

Of course the US is going to condemn a suicide bombing. But you need to see the statements from the imperialists a little more carefully. They are still calling for a negotiated settlement with the LTTE. If they see the LTTE as a pure terrorist group will they ask the GOSL to sit down for negotiations with them?
Indeed the US State Dept have come out with a statement talking about the 'legitimate grievances' of the Tamil people.
When they see the GOSL acting irreponsibly they will more and more see the LTTE in a different light. All the donor countries have called for an end to violence and for immediate talks. The GOSL has gone off on its own to try to weaken the LTTE before talks. This has created further instability which the IC does not want. The EU is considering restricting aid to SL for human rights violations.
Finally, if you are so interested in money you may want to speak to Vice squad, he is looking to hire laborers for his plantation. |

This is what BBC says :: two others exploded, damaging some naval equipment.
Another two vessels made it to shore where suspected rebels landed. Fighting went on for about an hour and a search operation for rebels was launched.
some report says LTTE had loaded 3 boats with wepons and left.
this was the stroge. for navy stuffs. |
