Why do you say so? We all must be allowed to decide for self rule or not. We cannot force one whole community to be under SriLanka if they don't want to. Tamils have shown again and again that they don't want to be a part of SriLanka which is infested with racists from top to bottom. They have been discriminated all throughout the history. What have we given them? Nothing but the bullet. Govt after govt has failed to deliver what tamil people wish. They have already decided that they need to be in a separate country. Why do you think all these parties have eelam in their name? Partition is the only way to go. They have sacrificed so much and will not settle for anything lese. They desserve it.

Anything is possible through friendly democratic debate. VP messed it all by killing 13 soldiers and you see the result now: more than 90,000 SRI LANKANS dead.
LTTE has shown its belligerence very clearly. If the island of SRI LANKA is separated it will be permanent war for the future generation.
LTTE should be destroyed while still there is time.

aye kumburu wade honda madide? It is time to modernise agriculture and we can get help from countries like China. With modern equipment you can improve productivity and harvest. Our imperial leaders don't want us to advance. They want to keep the rich-poor gap. Oppression is still alive and kicking specially in places like SL. It is time to give eelam and let tamil people have self governance. Maybe we should develop the north before partition as a goodwill gesture. Friendly neighbor is an asset to anybody.

I hope you meant division amont people. Separate country for tamil people is a must. Sorry, we may have to divide SriLanka. Down the road we can have some sort of an agreement with eelam so that citizens of both countries can visit each other without visa. Govt must also remove all the illegel settlements in the east.

Yoda brother, I agree that we cannot and should not try to force any people to do anything. That decision is ultimately up to the Tamils. I was speaking of my personal preference. ALso the GOSL does not speak for the Sinhala masses, it is a tool of imperialism and the local corruptocracy. So I don't put forward unity as unity with the GOSL but as unity of the two brother nations under a new democratic state. Our island is a higly mixed, interpenetrated place. Partition will be very messy. The crisis in the island will not be solved by partition. It will only be solved by replacing the neo-clonial regime and its system with a democratic one based on the people. While I do not advocate separation I defend the right of Tamils to do so if they wish. |
